I was very disappointed to find that this telephone does NOT have an answering machine, although the listing clearly states that it has. I have no alternative but to keep the phone as my old one stopped working and I am disabled so I need the landline.

Telephone answering facility has to be agreed with service provider, as opposed to being integrated in the machine.

This telephone is lovely and easy to use.

Instruction guidance was very poor. Advertised as suitable for the elderly but that person could not understand the instructions, which were in very small print with spelling mistakes . Even the purchaser and others were unable to work the instructions out. The socket fitment did not fit a standard BT socket without being married to an ASDL adapter. The handset cable was far too short. Therefore it was deemed not fit for purpose and returned.
