I like to make my own supplement capsules up of various herbs and other supplements I take...and I do take a lot! Using a "00" capsule maker and these "00" gelatin capsules makes this possible! Helps me know I'm not getting a lot of unwanted and unnecessary fillers and other ingredients. They hold about 500 mg or so. Very useful. Happy with their product!

Super easy to put whatever you want in the capsules, they come apart really easy which I loved and easy to put together. Highly recommend these capsules.

I have bought these clear ones and one other from this company that has a colored end cap. For some reason, this one ( the clear ) sticks on the machine and doesn't always fill properly. I have the manual capsule filler and have never had a problem with the capsules that have one side in a color. I think they are thicker? on the end with the color....but, the clear ones don't seem to work as well. I've opened the machine after pressing and have had quite a few capsules that haven't joined properly and spilled all over the counter. This is more than a one time occurrence and, I have cleaned the machine numerous times without any improvement. I have no problem with other PureCaps....just these. I'm going back to the colored ones...it's a shame because the clear is cheaper.

Not sure if this was a bad batch or incorrectly stored or something else but this is the worst pack of empty capsules I have ever gotten. And I've been buying them (from various sources) a long long time because I make my own herbal and vitamin C capsules. These are so stuck together the amount force needed to separate both pieces crushes both sides of the capsule, making it extremely difficult to put them back together when they have been filled. I've also had some that were just destroyed and unable to be used at all because it cracked during the process of pulling them apart. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience with empty capsules.

I've been buying this brand of 00 gelatin capsules for a while to encapsulate my own homemade nutrient mix powder. I see that, according to Amazon, I've had 20 purchases of the 2000 size bags over time. Lately, however, the top half of these capsules is often too small to function correctly. When trying to separate the top halves from the bottoms to load up an encapsulator device consisting of a top and a bottom tray, many capsules come apart with great difficulty. I've learned that it's best to just toss such capsules aside and not even attempt to use them, as they will never work properly in an encapsulator. After loading up the two halves of the encapsulator (the larger "barrel" of the capsule in the bottom tray and smaller top in the top tray), upon inverting the top tray to join the capsule halves together, about 25% of the capsule tops fall out on counter or table. They are simply too small to be held in place by the the normal friction fit. And if I manage to carefully bring the two tray halves together without some falling out, by holding them almost perpendicular to the work surface instead of parallel, many capsules fail to join together and get crushed instead, since they're too small, in many cases, to easily fit over the bottom half of the capsule they were pressed against. Then I have a powder mess on my hands and perhaps only three quarters of the capsules having joined together properly. After today's disaster in attempting to encapsulate my nutrient powder, I've decided I won't be buying this brand again. It's more trouble than it's worth.
