Nature's Way Pepogest Peppermint Oil 60 Softgels. (Pack of 1)

This seems to work as well as the name brand. I do get a tiny bit of peppermint smell or taste for just a few minutes after taking it but it’s faint and doesn’t last long. It seems to settle my tummy discomforts from diverticulosis / diverticulitis a little bit. The capsules are small and easily swallowed. Would buy again.

I have SIBO and was at the point that I didn't know what to eat any more. Everything was a problem. Even the water I drank was bloating me. I did a lot of research because the antibiotic the doctor gave me had terrible side effects and I couldn't take it. One research shows that SIBO was decreased by 40% with this product after 10 days and 80% after 20 days, so this was my last rope. After 2 days I started feeling the difference. No more pain and was able to eat small meals without getting bloated. I am on the 5th day and today I even forgot to take my enzymes but I still didn't get bloated. My doctor recommended Atrantil but I haven't ordered it yet. It's pricey. I am planning to continue taking this even past one bottle. At the same time I have diverticulitis, but this product seems to be helping so much with absolutely no sided effects. I think I still have to take my enzymes and probiotics for a lot longer but the relief from this product has been amazing. I haven't had fruit for at least 2 weeks, and today I had a pear (I used to get bloated with pears but love them). Because of the Pepogest, the pear did not bother me a bit. I really feel like a new person.

I've been taking Pepogest for years to help with my IBS. This medicine does calm my stomach down but it has a couple of side-effects. After taking it, I can get the peppermint burps and it makes me feel very tired. I wonder if other people also feel tired after taking this. I wish this was made in a smaller dose so the side-effects would be less while still helping with my IBS.

I found out about Pepogest many, many years ago when I came back from Mexico with a very sick stomach from drinking cocktails that clearly had bacteria (likely in the ice). After having the runs the first day of my trip, I could not eliminate afterwards and was sick for 2 weeks later. Taking acidophilus was the first step, then using enteric coated peppermint to soothe my inflamed intestines.God bless that health food store guy that introduced me to it. Pepogest has been my go to every since. The enteric coating means the oil gets to the lower intestine where it's needed. No other product is as good. It's wonderful.
