Bought January 2026, it's now only mid March about 2 months later and this thing is MOLDY. Wtf? Isn't bamboo supposed to be anti-molding? Even if not, shouldn't this have been factory treated given the environment it is sold and advertised for? I just noticed the black starting on top a couple days ago, and I look on the bottom and it's absolutely terrible. I absolutely do not recommend this due to this alone. With that said it seems fairly sturdy, not perfect but I'm 200lbs and holds me fine. Great size where it's big enough to use yet doesn't take up too much real estate.

Easy to assemble and very sturdy and comfortable

My shower is small without a huge floor space, so I was looking for a nice, small wooden bench. I love this one! The color is perfect, it fits nicely in the back of the shower, and the purpose for which I wanted it, to shave my legs, and dry off after my shower, is so much easier now. The bench is sturdy, no wobbles, and feels hefty enough to not rock or tip with a foot up on it, or for sitting. This was a great find, and a good purchase. I highly recommend this bench. AFTER FURTHER USE… After using the bench for a while, I’d like to add that it gets very moldy in a very short time. The legs, under the seat, and between the slats. I get that it could be cleaned somehow, but the mold originates in the cracks of the construction. It can’t be fixed. I don’t recommend this bench for shower use. The mold doesn’t come off once there. I’m delegating this bench to the garden to sit on while pruning. It’s not house worthy after a short time. Advice…look for teakwood instead.

This was perfect for my son who couldn't weight bear for 8 weeks. Fit perfectly in the tub and is very sturdy. Very easy to put together too. However, when we were done and removed it from the tub, the entire bottom was full of mold! After each shower, we dried the top, legs and bottom shelf off and kept a dehumidifier in the bathroom to remove extra moisture. Never thought of the bottom. I will try to power wash the mold off in the spring to see if we can save the bench - just wanted to mention the precautions one should take if they want this for a long term solution.

This is a cute bench and was easy to assemble. However, the product description does not list a weight limit (which it should!), and when I clicked on the "What's the weight limit?" question offered by the Amazon bot, it said 350 pounds. ***THIS BENCH DOES NOT SUPPORT 350lbs.*** I weight more than 80lbs less than that, and it creaked and groaned when I sat on it. In the interest of not having a butt full of giant splinters when it collapses, I am downgrading it to a plant stand and bought a replacement that listed the weight limit in the actual description by the manufacturer, since the Amazon bot can't be trusted.

why did it say it can be used inside of shower space. it has got black mold all over within less than a month!

We use this stool in our bathroom and it fits perfectly. The seller’s description was so helpful in our decision to purchase. And as an added bonus it arrived a week earlier than expected. Couldn’t be happier from deciding on what type of stool, the ordering process through to the delivery.
