Go for it, buy it it’s worth it!
Absolutely great buy, will buy another one soon. This was very easy to set up. I am 43 and I was so scared that I was not going to be able to understand the printer after I opened it. I did do some research on it as I do with everything. I recommended for beginners. Literally a feed screws to put on and it’s ready to use. I bought it to be able to print my own clay cutters. I got it on Mother’s Day a week later I was already printing. I would have been printing faster but we had a series of events we had planned. The connection was super fast! IF YOU READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS STEP BY STEP YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO DO THIS! The noise level is not too bad, the sound that it makes at the beginning when you turn it on it’s louder than when it’s printing. I love the look of it! Very sleek. Like I mentioned before so far so good reliability was a big one for me. I didn’t want to get screwed. So I say go for it!

Great first 3D printer
I bought this printer as a 3D printing newbie hoping for something that's both a good entry level printer and has good performance for small-ish electro-mechanical projects. I think I found it. What I like - - It's a refined, finished product. Most 3D printers seem to have a lot of tweakiness about them. I'm using the slicing software Flashforge provides and the preset slicing setups and all have given pretty decent first quality prints - A plate that seems to stick down PLA and PETG prints pretty well - Related to the first point, the software is easy to use, the printer is easy to set up, and the touchscreen utilities easy to use - Wifi downloading of files - no USB drive - The extruder moves in both X and Y directions, and the table in the Z direction. Some printers shift the work left and right. This seems more stable and repeatable - Built in leveling and vibration correction algorithms - Ability to upgrade this to an enclosed printer using an acrylic kit and print-it-yourself brackets - Excellent tech support. Unfortunately my printer failed within the first few weeks - one of the sensors that determines the x-y home went bad. When I emailed support I had a response within an hour. I had replacement parts and full instructions within a few days and I'm back up and running. It's pretty good tech support for a consumer printer. - Readily available parts - replacement print plates, different sized nozzles, etc. What hasn't been so great - The firmware freezes up from time to time - I don't get the manual positioning settings menu. It doesn't always go where I think it should - Kinda dark - wish it had a light in the work area - Early hardware problems - but quickly remedied by great tech support - Touchscreen is kinda sensitive to hitting the right spot on small icons - DIY enclosure kit shown on the website isn't available for purchase yet All in all I'd buy this one again. It's less expensive than many, easier to use than resin, less experimental and tweaky than other filament printers. The company stands behind their product.

There is no quality control or testing done
I received this printer on Feb 14th and through the holiday weekend I spent probably 24 working hours troubleshooting and trying to diagnose issues with this printer. I've attempted to use orca, cura, and flashprint, and none of them provided consistent results. Print success rate - My print success rate with this printer was probably 10%, with 90% of prints failing. I've auto leveled, vibration tested, manually leveled using the paper method, tried 4 different filaments (all PLA), modified probably 20-30 different settings at least 20 times each. Nothing I did would get the filament to extrude consistently across the bed. The bed also bowed up in the middle, so when the 4 corners were level the middle would scrape. Print quality - The print quality was actually really good, and quick when the print would work. I came away with some decent small prints, but could not successfully print anything taller than 20mm. Adhesion - I attribute a lot of my adhesion problems to the uneven first layers due to horrible extrusion, but unless I used a brim with everything, the print would eventually warp in 1 of the corners and eventually either fail or have terrible print quality. Some prints the hot end would eventually iron out the surface and it would succeed, but would have an uneven base. Build quality - The build quality was solid, it felt very sturdy, and built like a tank with only the base being plastic. My printer did develop a buzzing sound when moving along both x and y axis. Overall I can not and refuse to recommend this printer. Despite the good print quality, if I have to troubleshoot after every print and only 1 in 10 succeed then print quality really means nothing. Check the reddit for flash forge and the new 5m printers, my experience is not uncommon. Some youtubers are raving about it, and maybe they received a good unit, but the inconsistency with this product is awful, and you're taking a big gamble if you purchase one.

Look No Further for your First (or Tenth) 3D Printer
A little background. I have been 3D printing since the early 2010's and have experienced everything from the awful Davinci XYZ to the old reliable Ender 3 Pro. I've also experienced so called "premium" printers like the AnkerMake M5 and M5C. And this boy here...the Flashforge Adventurer 5M is my new favorite. Ths is a core xy printer which allows it to approach speeds of 300m/s with ease without losing much in terms of quality. Many other printers at this price point are still what we call "Bed Slingers" which thrash your printer forward and backwards tempting fate to topple your print. But a core xy like the Adventurer 5M move the extruder and slowly and gently lift the print itself up and down. The other great feature is what is known as input shaping. This printer calibrates itself to it's own resonant frequency so that it can counter act it's own vibration to achieve even higher speed and precision. Taking this hand in hand with it's automatic bed leveling and you have yourself an absolute rock start of a printer. Even with it's modest print volume this printer is a bargain for what you are paying for it. It is essentially a less expensive Bambu P1P (minus a little bit of print volume), and that is a good thing. I plan to purchase more of these printers once my new Etsy store kicks off, so I can mass produce the parts I need for my fight sticks. They are small, self contained, and easy to maintain. I can't recommend this printer more. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned expert...this printer is ready to go 15 minutes after you get it out of the box. It is the closest I have ever gotten to a plug and play 3D printer.

Pretty decent. Single color workhorse
This thing is a workhorse. I am ashamed to admit I've run this thing basically every day since I got it. Would be 5 star if it was easy to make it print multicolor. Other printers prices are catching up, or should I say coming down. It's going to be hard for this to stay competitive. No regrets probably because I felt I would buy a second machine in a short time period. Single color is a go, multicolor look elsewhere.

Absolutely awesome budget friendly printer!
This is my second printer. I have put 2.6KM of filament through it so far, and its been absolutely fantastic. very few failed prints (the only ones that failed were because of overcrowding the build plate) but otherwise, its been fantastic. ive made a LOT of parts with it. one of my biggest projects was a custom cluster for a truck. turned out fantastic! the other night, i had a spool of filament with a tangle mess up my nozzle, so i ordered a spare nozzle, which didnt even get 2 minutes into printing before it came loose on one side, gouged my build plate, and bent the brand new nozzle. i managed to unclog the original nozzle with a torch and a pair of pliars, stuck it back in, and restarted the print. its going to have a mark in it from the build plate being damaged, but i can work around it. other than that one issue, this has been an absolutely fantastic printer! very quick. highly recommend! very tempted to purchase another, cause i almost always have this thing going haha! from little clips to truck parts, its been awesome. i print in almost strictly PETG, i did make a few items out of TPU (havent been able to print that before) and once i get some time to print the enclosure, i wanna try ABS. **UPDATE** i contacted customer support, and explained what had happened, and sent them some pictures. They went above and beyond and sent me a bunch of parts to repair the printer. would not hesitate to purchase from flash forge again. great customer service, 10/10 experience.

Great 3D Printer!
I want to start by saying that Flashforge have resolved the issue that some reviewers have mentioned regarding the screen cable. The cable is pre-fitted with the screen, you just need to unscrew the screen from the mounted shipping position and rotate it before screwing it back with the other screws provided in the package. (I’m unsure if this was a product or user issue originally, but the reviews make it sound like it used to ship without the screen cable fitted, and those reviews are all over a year old) As far as I’m concerned, this is a really incredible printer with very good print quality that far exceeds my expectations at this price point, noting that my previous printer is a 6 year old Ender 3, so I guess the technology has advanced significantly. That being said, it’s incredibly sturdy with effectively zero actual setup required compared to more legacy machines, and the printing is ridiculously quick. The app provides a live status of the print, so no need to constantly check the physical device. But it did seem to randomly disconnect from the printer, so I’m still working through that (but it’s currently printing, so don’t want to interrupt it for debugging). The mobile app seems to have fairly limited features, so it would be nice to see that improved upon. Overall I’m giving this 5 stars, because at this price range it provides much more than should really be expected and the print quality has been exceptional so far.

Good 3d printer
Good printer. Very fast and not noisy. Easy setup. Biggest hassle is the networking abit hit and miss. USB needs to be fat32 format to detect. So far so good. Seem to be as good as my works Bambu p1s for less cost. Good filament is the key

Great quality for the budget.
I have been self-buiding.my 3D printers for some time since the last one I purchased before this. I was unsatisfied with the print quality and speed that were previously available in a budget printer choice, and ones that I knew could deliver seemed to be better as a self-build. My best printer is still self-built, however I spent much more on the components to build it than this whole unit. It has several very nice features which result in very good quality prints. Many automatic features make dealing with the printer simple and beginner friendly. In the "cons" column is the proprietary network interface, which restricts the slicers that can be (easily) used with it. You can implement Klipper on the printer which will then open up the choices, but with the standard firmware you can use the proprietary slicer or Orca slicer. Fortunately Orca slicer (for which there is a pre-built profile) is quite robust and not difficult to switch to from PrusaSlicer. I could not upload gcode from PrusaSlicer to the printer, but didn't spend much time trying. The standard touch screen let's you manage sliced print files, change filaments and other standard tasks. The filament sensor is not a very advanced one and only lets you know if there is no filament in the tube. It cannot detect if the filament has stopped moving from a tangled spool or other feed issue. It does pause the printer appropriately. (Full disclosure, I have only ever used a simple microswitch holder myself as a filament sensor.) All in all, a great printer for the money, it creates excellent results.
