That was the exact problem I had in Tel Aviv. Every time I plugged in the unit and switched it on it popped the circuit breakers in my house. I would do research but I wouldn’t go above 1500 W max to run a coffee maker. **Q: I need 12.5 amps (3000w) 240vac output. By my math, that's a 25 amp input of 120vac which exceeds my 15 amp input circuit - is that right?** A: Yes **Q: On the 3000w model does it have terminals to connect bare wire on 120v input? From the pictures it shows a 15 amp 3-prong plug, it needs 30a** A: Yes it does **Q: Will this work with a 120V 1050W espresso machine in Australia?** A: I don’t think so. I’ve uses it for an European espresso machine with similar specks and it failed after a few days. I think you need at least 3000W to 5000W ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works like a charm *by on Reviewed in the United States 7 November 2020* Bought it for my appliance from China, Worked like a charm. Very well designed and made, plug feels solid, no odd smell or noise. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works as advertised. *by on Reviewed in the United States 19 September 2025* Product arrived quick. I've used the step up transformer for about 3 hours and it definitely works as advertised. Good simple instructions come with the unit. I don't have a way to test it for how many watts it puts out at this time. Would definitely recommend to this point. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by on Reviewed in the United States 6 July 2024* Needed a step-up/down converter for a ps5 I bought in the UK (back in US now) this one was highly rated and it works like a charm. Great value, definitely be sure to give yourself wiggle room with wattage, went with 1000w but will never even come close to half that, I heard it helps with longevity though. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.hu/products/584215025-3000w-st-pro-auto-step-up-and-step-down-voltage](https://www.desertcart.hu/products/584215025-3000w-st-pro-auto-step-up-and-step-down-voltage) --- *Product available on Desertcart Hungary* *Store origin: HU* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
