Given the price of this floating nightstand I assumed it was solid wood. Now, granted, it doesn’t specify that anywhere on the product listing, it just says “wood”. It appears to be made of plywood with an aesthetically middling veneer.That being said, these are super solidly constructed. They are HEAVY, and the drawer hardware is super smooth. Like, besides the fact that these aren’t solid wood, it’s a really nice night stand.So I can’t honestly recommend you buy this, but I also don’t want tell anyone not to buy it. If you’re fine with the construction materials at this price point, then go for it. I got it for free through the vine program so I’m not really trippin, but if I had paid money for it, I would have returned it for a refund.

What I didn't like is that with how heavy this nightstand is, the mounting holes are not 16 inches on center making that only one of the three mounting holes can be placed into a stud. We used wall anchors that we had here at the house, and then decided to use brackets to help shore it up. The nightstand itself had two small chips in the wood veneer, and then on the bottom, the screws were not quite flush, so they show through the edging strips. Not a big deal since they are on the bottom. The drawer slides in and out with ease, so no issues there. It feels pretty solid and like it will hold up with time, as long as it stays on the wall. I would recommend having some really good anchors and maybe even use some brackets if you do not have a horizontal stud to mount this to. Because of the added items to shore this up it took my hubby about thirty minutes to install it, including adding the brackets to the nightstand and then leveling it on the wall and drilling all the holes for the anchors.

I love my drawer! I'm using mine a little different than intended. The first thing I noticed was the weight upon opening. It's heavy for such a small piece of furniture. It comes with all of the proper wall attachments to turn it into a floating night stand. However, it looks perfect on my living room desk! It brings in the shade of wood that I have on another furniture piece. I use my living room desk for my laptop only and keep it clutter free. This drawer works perfect to hide away the millions of charging cords I own and other few items I need there. I'm left with a streamlined and clutter free minimalistic setting (even though nothing else in my house is minimalistic haha). The wood is nice and the drawer opens and closes smoothly on a sturdy and well built track. It would do well in a kitchen to put a coffee pot on and all of your coffee pods in the drawer. It doesn't take up much space and there is no indication of it being a floating nightstand when it's used on top of another furniture piece. Excellent idea!

I do not have a lot of space in my bedroom so when I saw this floating nightstand, I thought that it would not only be very functional but also save some space. Installing this was easy. I installed this into a stud and used anchors as well. I like that I could choose the height that this this gets installed at allowing me to place it right at the perfect height for me to access it while I'm lying in bed. This nightstand looks so great mounted on the wall. It offers a good amount of useful space on top of the stand as well as a good amount of storage in the drawer. I really love the maple color; it really looks high end.
