Binbata Eco Dishwasher Detergent Sheets, Plastic Free Dishwashing Soap

These surprised me. Just make sure your dishwasher filter remains clean. I pair this with citric acid to help keep my glassware sparkling (hard water).

My dishes sparkle and there is no smell from them. I have never had residue on any of my dishes. They always completely dissolve. Great value for the money. I have bought them several times.

Left residue behind. Apparently when the toxins were removed, the product was also stripped of its ability to clean dirty dishes. My water is scalding hot and my new and very good dishwasher further heats the water. Ran these dishes through two cycles and the dishes were still greasy and had dried-on food residue left behind. My search for unscented nontoxic dish soap for my dishwasher continues.

I was simply ok. My dishes were clean but not as clean as I would have liked. I ended up using a vinegar cloth to wipe everything before I put them in the cabinet. I will keep them as use them when I run out of my regular dishwasher soap. I will add citric acid though.

These might not work very well for a full wash. They don’t dissolve well in the detergent drawer but I found they work great as the pre wash. I break them into 4 pieces and just put one square on the door and a wash pod in the drawer. Then when the prewash cycle goes they dissolve fine and work well for this first cycle.

Works great dishes are very clean

I was really excited to find this product and eager to see if it did the same job as dishwasher detergent/pods/tabs available at the grocery. Well... it creates suds so something is clearly happening but it doesn't clean my (rinsed) dishes unless I add enzymes -- which begs the question what the point is of buying a dishwasher sheet because 1 - you're spending more on the combination of products, 2 - it's less convenient to use 2 products than just 1 and 3 - there is no space savings for storage purposes. I really can't give this even an average rating but I do applaud the idea or a dishwasher sheet. It just needs better execution.

I have a little counter top dishwasher, and I've used these for about a year now. I only need to use a half sheet of these and my dishes come out very clean, every time. There is no residue on the dishes ever! I don't notice any scent, just clean, which is good because I hate scented anything!

Dishwashing products include both enzymes to break the food down and a bleach for cleaning, and a rinse aid. The sheets are all 1 piece and so can't contain all these 3 as they would interact with each other. We found it worked best when you used rinse aid as well, but then, what's the point of these? "Meh" cleaning only. Such a shame as the tech works really well for regular clothes washing machines.

UPDATE: Not knowing what to do with these, and not wanting to return them (where they would end up in landfill), I thought I’d use them as an all-purpose cleaner. One half-sheet in 500ml of water in a spray bottle. It works well! So now I have a practically lifetime supply of all purpose cleaner. I just won’t use it in the dishwasher. Like many people, I’m really trying to reduce plastic. I’ve used Binbata’s laundry detergent sheets and I really like them, so I thought I’d try their dishwasher detergent. First, there’s absolutely no scent whatsoever. Second, my washer was making some slightly alarming noises, as though the detergent was partially clogging something. Finally, it just doesn’t clean. I tried it twice, the second time only using half a sheet (fewer alarming noises this time), and many dishes still had food residue on them. So, I might try it in a spray bottle to clean other things around the house, but never again in my dishwasher.

Both a money saver and a space saver. Also completely unscented which is important to me. Seems to work perfectly, no difference from expensive brand name pods. I’ve been using it for about a month and I am amazed at how well it works.

Works well with 1.5 sheets per load else it foams out. Any less and not effective
