Great for all around use
Purchased this item as a replacement for an older larger model that was damaged. Although smaller and more compact battery life is improved and it has several updated features such as Bluetooth capability. Speaker sound quality is also greatly improved. Not just for emergency use but around the home and for outdoor activities.

Versatile, Powerful Radio with Great Features
The Eton Odyssey All‑Band Bluetooth Radio is a fantastic all‑in‑one unit. It tunes AM, FM, shortwave, and weather bands with clear reception, and the Bluetooth feature makes streaming from my phone easy. Audio quality is loud and crisp considering the size. I love the multi‑power options. It runs on AC, batteries, or hand crank/solar backup, which is great for storms and emergencies. The build feels solid and reliable for both everyday listening and preparedness use. Overall, this radio is versatile, dependable, and feature‑rich. Ideal for home use or emergency kits.

Works, but some features not good as desired
I only used it to test it and it works, so hooray. I still need to turn it on during the weekly NOAA alert test time, but otherwise everything else works: FM and AM radio, flashlight, emergency siren (it's LOUD!!!), and bluetooth. Some things that are a little annoying: There is a little red light that indicates charging, but I wish the battery icon indicating charge on the screen would also flash. The solar charging is really really slow (but it is a really small panel), perhaps handcrank is faster. And the autoprogram for FM can never be reset, so if you move, you'll keep all the old saved channels too.

Poor NOAA reception
This is a well built radio with many options to keep it powered. Dual battery operation is awesome. Easy to operate and great sounding speaker. I appreciate at the bands that it covers. Cons: I have two complaints about the radio. It has the WORST Noaa weather reception of any radio ever. The volume cuts out and drops out during operation and does not lock in to the station. I have several cheaper radios with excellent noaa coverage. This eton is supposed to be a weather radio and it's weakest aspect is its NOAA reception. Second con is the battery compartment door with a weak tiny screw. I don't want to look for a micro Phillips screwdriver to change the battery during an emergency. I really like this radio but will be returning it because I can not accept an emergency radio that fails on its most important feature. This was described as having RDS. NO MENTION OF THAT IN THE ÒWNERS MANUAL.

It mostly works despite poor overall design
It works as long as you have the battery latch tightly screwed down. It has useful multiple power options but is bulky, inexplicably heavy, awkward and all around a poor design for users. The use of a screw for the battery compartment is a poor choice, the screw is small and easily lost (no extra screws included) as is the inadequate (too small to grip) screwdriver. Without the screw to hold the lid down the radio will NOT work. A thumb latch would have been far better and eliminated both the screw and screwdriver. As big as the radio is you would think there would be room for a compartment for the screwdriver and USB-A to C cable. The 18650 battery does not seem to be a standard 18650 size, it is somewhat shorter making using alternative 18650 batteries (I use NiteCore) difficult. Three stars is probably generous.

Highly recommended: Outstanding full-featured emergency radio
This radio bears the American Red Cross moniker and fits the bill for emergency preparedness. The ability to charge internal lithium ion battery, switch to AA alkaline or rechargeables, or crank the handle give you plenty of options. If you use AA rechargeables, though, they must be removed and recharged. It even has a small solar panel to self-charge, and the top loop can hang it up or on your pack. Internal light, clock, NOAA radio, and AM, FM, or even shortwave all make this a great radio. The ability to use the USB ports to charge other electronics make this thing special. It's not the smallest or lightest, but it's an outstanding radio.

Multi powered crank radio light and power bank.
Purchased these for each of my children and their significant others. Great idea for any power outage. Great size and value for the money.

Dificult to find and change AM FM and Short Wave
Would have prefer that stations and volume selection be dials and not rubber and background red light find it too bright to be used at night.Found the torch quite good and manual cranking mechanism to supply energy quite effectively. It feels robust but NOAA is only available in the USA not in Australia. Also speakers are not moist or shower proof.

Great Vendor
The item is in good working condition but the plastic seems dull and dried out. The seller has been extremely helpful and a great vendor. I would strongly recommend him.
