Nice 12V LiFePO4 40 amp charger, works exactly as expected
The media could not be loaded. I've been building a solar system and portable power station and the only components I still needed was a lithium battery and a nice charger. I ended up ordering this LiFePO4 12V charger, somehow getting lucky enough to get it through the Vine program. I was so happy with the quality of the charger that it actually tipped the scale for my decision on batteries. I'd been watching several 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries and trying to finalize my decision, and finally went with GrenerPower for the batterySo, the charger itself is in an aluminum case that allows the base to be mounted. It'll be spending much of it's life in a small case mounted above a portable power station basically housed in a rolling tool box. The case acts as a heat sink and I did read the high temperature of the case hit 103.2°F, at the time the new battery fully charged. The charger took very little time to bring the voltage from 13.25V to fully charged (the charger has overcharge protection, which cuts off the charge at 14.6V) in 48 minutes.I don't think this charger has high/low temperature protection, so be sure your set up does, if you plan on charging in extreme climates. Most decent LiFePO4 batteries have BMS that'll protect against temps for you, and you can always use external sensors. Also, this charger should be very effective at reviving LiFePO4 batteries that have tripped the over-discharge protection. A standard charger will not likely suffice. It's refreshing to see an ad for a bit of electronics that isn't filled with over-hyped claims. Power, size, weight, features... everything matches with what I see in front of me.Take a look at some of the creative builds out there for portable power stations that can be charged by multiple methods. I'm putting together a video of my own, starting with the 100Ah battery I just received this afternoon and if the battery passes my load capacity tests, I'll be ordering two more, for a total of 300Ah, which is quite high for a portable set up. My kit has a 2,000W pure sine inverter, 30A solar charge controller and all of the assorted doohickeys.I try to keep videos under a minute, or so, but this one's around 4 minutes. I can give you back around 4 minutes of your life, the nutshell version, the charger met expectations and within the few minutes I shot the video, the battery's voltage climbed from 13.25V to 13.9.Final note, for what it's worth, the only 4 star rating at the time I'm posting this knocked a star off for its size. They mention they're giving it as a gift to a neighbor, as an auto battery charger. I definitely understand, if someone isn't familiar with LiFePO4, but that's not what this charger is for. LiFePO4 batteries aren't starting batteries. I'm sure it'll put a charge on a lead acid battery, as car alternators usually charge at a rate above 40 amps, but there are much less expensive and more compact solutions for car batteries.

Finally an affordable life po4 charger it's not DOA or junk right out of the box
At the excellent price point I didn't expect a lot here, but since I to do a lot of solar work and work with a lot of Life Poe for battery Banks when it comes time to charge them up after the install the average charger would see four to six batteries set up in parallel and send up a smoke signal (pun intended) and that was that. It didn't matter if they were expensive or cheap all the same all junk. So I decided I wasn't spending tons of money on one and actually decided I'd buy one more inexpensive one just to have with me and it was the best choice I ever made. This took a bank of 100 amp hour lipo for batteries eight of them as a matter of fact set up in parallel and top them off overnight and never broke a sweat or overheated and the batteries are within one 100th volt of where they were designed to be the next morning when I remove the charger.

Super useful!!
This battery charger has proven to be a lifesaver, especially during power outages, ensuring I never have to worry about constantly replacing batteries. Its reliable performance and quick charging capability have made it an essential tool in maintaining the functionality of my electronic devices. Its convenience and peace of mind make it a valuable addition to my household, providing a reliable power source when I need it the most.

Sizeable charger
This charger was a lot bigger than I thought. I'm not complaining because my mom's neighbor will be happy when he gets this. For weeks, he's been having problems with his van and has had to get a jump start from another neighbor. This charger will be ideal for him because he's not expecting this for Christmas. I'm almost tempted to give it to him now just in case he experiences additional car troubles. It's not as compact but it is still a good size that won't be too heavy to carry back and forth. Compared to an older car charger that I own, this is far better quality and lighter than that one.

Great for off-grid cabin
We use this to charge up a bank of 4 100ah Lifepo4 batteries. When we are lacking in solar energy input from bad weather we supplement with a generator. This charger outputs 500-580w of power into my system from the generator with no fuss or fancy settings or anything. I wired mine directly to the battery and a switch to my generator to make it easy. Works exactly as it should.

Durable weather sealed case - output as advertised
Solid - I verified that this puts out 40a at 14.6v which is appropriate for most lifepo4 batteries and can be used for lead acid in a pinch. Plastic case seems to be weather sealed, no exposed fans or vents. I did not find any IP rating on the item or documentation but from initial inspection this could probably be used in a mobile or marine environment.Should be used with a BMS, as it doesn’t have any ‘smart’ charging features

Simple and effective
Love that this shows the voltage of the battery when connected to the battery but not plugged into the wall. That little bit of extra battery state info is good to have. Current coming from it was a bit on the low side (ranged from 35-37 Amps), but it safely charged my 110 Ah LifePo4 battery until cutoff at the voltage curve. It continued to trickle about 1-2 tenths of an amp after that, which isn't ideal, but is normal for this type of charger.

Awesome charger
Amazing charger got this to charge up my solar battery bank when the sun just wasn’t enough and this charger charges it up much faster than my previous one. It is also very durable and heavy duty feeling highly recommend.
