Nice and big ,can hold the bigger packs of butter in style

This butter dish is huge - it will easily hold a pound of butter (two of the normal packs) or more. It is great quality: the knife has a porcelain handle with some weight to it, and the steel is substantial and well-finished. I was hoping the knife handle would be black to match the dish, but it was white (the listing shows both). The lid fits well and the seal is good, and the knfe is held securely in its holder while at the same time being easy to remove. The 'BUTTER' printed on the side of the dish appears to have been done before the glaze, not silkscreened on after the firing of the pot; and doesn't scratch with a knife or fine wire wool. Although that indicates the quality of this dish, I admit to being slightly disappointed that I can't remove the printing, because the size makes the dish perfect for home-made terrines and other similar foods - perhaps the seller might consider doing some unprinted versions.No downsides to this butter dish unless the large size is too much. Recommended!

What an awesome butter dish! I love this butter dish, it meets all my requirements, which was good looks, the use of sustainble matrials for the lid and comes with a cut out for the enclosed butter knife in the top of the lid.It came exceptionally well packaged and all that I needed to do was wash it up before I put a pack of butter in it. Great value and great design! Easy to recommend this lovely Butter Dish!
