CHRISTLIKE TRUTH
I have so much love and appreciation for Jefferson Moore and those who have helped him to make such delightful, Biblically accurate Christian films that both the seasoned and those newly born into the family of Christ can learn from. For some, the first few minutes may seem a bit slow to start. However, this slow start soon passes as the characters are introduced and the plot develops. Like many Christians, I was on a search for Christmas movies to share with the family that would be about what Christmas actually is; Jesus' birthday. Not random miracles or the Clause family, even though a film about miracles can be a wonderful thing, miracles alone still leave out Jesus. So though this film is not about the actual story of the birth of Jesus, like The Nativity Story, this film reminds us what Christmas is about while contrasting what it has turned into throughout the years. It was so well done and I can't wait for more Jefferson Moore films. They're a true blessing indeed!

Belief is Your Choice and is Worth Standing up For...Uplifting and emotionally healing.
!2/15/2014. I woke up at 4:00 AM and decided to search the TV Guide for something interesting to watch and found "The Perfect Gift" on TBN. This is more than your typical spoiled child who, through her interaction with the vagrant who is building a manger for the church where he is staying temporarily, does a 180 because of this vagrant's teachings. His teachings positively impact most everyone he encounters from Max, the spoiled child who started out learning about Christmas and associated symbolisms for a school essay and who became a major moral and financial contributor toward paying the fine to save the manger from the City Ordinance requiring its destruction, to the small children to whom he told his version of the Night before Christmas ("The Nativity" as God's visit) at which the parents and other adults from the community gathered, to the City Hall Meeting where the fate of the manger was supposed to be determined and where Jes delivered another powerful message centering around God's intention of peoples' belief in him to be a choice. That is why Jesus was born the way he was, quietly in a manger. There are a lot of other messages pointed at society in general; food for thought. Excellent movie. I have ordered several DVDs to share.

Loved, Loved this movie
First time I watched it, I was hooked! I have been telling everybody I know to watch it. I thought the little girl was so great & funny. Plus, it did show the Christian side of the true meaning of Christmas, JESUS! I have watched it several times, it is my go to sleep movie, (though 9 times out of 10 I end of watching it instead of sleeping). The guy that played Jesus did a wonderful job, He did look like all the pictures we have seen of Jesus! It was a wonderful movie, which I truly suggest everybody watch, especially the way the world is now.Debby

Beautiful message
Came across this movie & had no idea what to expect. Watched it on April 29th. I found that although a Christmas movie, the intent is to share hope, love & acceptance from the one who is these things. This is not a huge fancy film but like so many of the best ones, you don't have to have big name actors or ridiculous budgets to tell a good story & to remind someone of what is important. I was reminded of what is important & hope others would be also.

Some tear-inducing moments.
This movie, that I stumbled upon last Christmas, has quickly become one of my favourites. It joined my special Christmas movie collection: you know: the movies you just HAVE to watch every single year! What started that for me was a moment when, in the setting up of a Nativity Scene, Pastor Tony and "Jess" placed a statue of the Virgin Mary outside and, "Jess" looked upon her with a tenderness of a son for his mother, touching her gently. Tears filled my eyes, and I watched the rest of this movie with a deeper attention. There are a couple of scenes wherein Jess tells the story of Christ's birth and why He came to be among us that are worth watching the entire movie for. These scenes touch the heart and kindle (or rekindle) love for Jesus, love for this momentous holiday and delight the soul.Personally, I find the characters delightful, even if they are a bit one- or two-dimensional. Another criticism I have refers to a scene in which Jess calls a would-be mugger by name, which goes without further comment. If I was a stranger accosting a would-be victim and they called me by name, I'd be taken aback and ask them, "how do you know my name?" but nothing was said, no eyebrows were raised...nothing. That just doesn't make sense to me.All-in-all, I highly recommend this movie and believe it will be a great addition to anybody's Christmas library.
