Picked out this kit for my brother and sister-in-laws first child. I've been cross stitching for years and this kit was great - very colorful and simple, more than ample supplies of thread and an easy to read chart. I was a little nervous since this was the first piece I ever made to give to someone but it was a hit! Definitely would recommend, the piece looks beautiful when it's done.

This pattern is very cute, and the kit contains everything you need to finish the project.I like how this kit has the embroidery floss organized on paper cards with the corresponding color code numbers right next to the floss. There's no confusion later about which color is light blue vs med blue, etc.This pattern is a little more complicated, with a variety of different stitches, so I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner.

Pattern is adorable. Cant wait to do it.

This is my 5th birth record and the 4th Dimensions kit I bought for this purpose. I love all the Dimensions kits. The floss is presorted, the instructions are clear, and the pattern is easily readable. Dimensions has cute selections, and this is one of the cutest. Great gift for the birth of grandchildren!

Easy instructions, pretty design.

This birth announcement in cross stitch was the best one I had found that fits the theme for my granddaughter that is due in October. My daughter is big into giraffes and alot of baby items have giraffes on them. Plus I have stitched Dimensions kits in the past and love them.

I wanted a birth record for my first child, and at the time we didn't know what gender and this cross stitch works great for a baby girl or boy. This is an adorable picture, and I love how the Mommy/Daddy animals are paired up with the babies. It took a little longer to complete than I expected, but that's because I developed carpal tunnel in my last trimester and I'm slow. But after it was completed we got it framed at Michaels (buy a frame there and ask them to mount it), and the end result is perfect. The first picture is best but shows it in a yellow-orangish light, so I've included another picture so you can more accurately get an idea for the colors.Enjoy! Your little one will cherish it!

Our new grandchild lives on a farm so this picture is perfect to remind them of all the fun animals around them! Pattern is easy to read - plenty of threads. Also really like that the pattern is easily split in half so you can work on one half and then easily transition to the other!

Item as described and is proving to be very rewarding whilst sewing it.My only niggle is that Dimensions in their wisdom have decided to stick the pre-sorted threads to double sided padded tape and this leaves you with a sticky end of thread and is sometimes near impossible to get off the tape.Other than that everything is perfect!

Easy to follow, good colour supply and mix.
