I was super excited to use the smart doorlock when my husband drill it in. But unfortunately when we test the key to lock it, it wouldn't lock. The key wouldnt allow it to turn all the way. It seems like the measurement of our door knob hole is off! Wish it work cause I love the look of the smart door knob.Update: received an email to help out the problem. I bought this smart for my house and I'm glad it. I was able to install it from start to programming the device within 30 minutes. It operates how its supposed to, I really like design of it, and it's not too bulky. Programing it was very simple. All I did was install the app on my phone and then follow the simple steps to programing the device with you preference. I also really like that it comes with fab which add to the multiple ways including fingerprint to access the smart lock. Customers support responses quick to assist you in anyway which is a plus.

The lock works great and it's nice to be able to get into the house without using a key. The lock has different options, from fingerprint to keypad to fob to app and there is the key option, if needed.Customer service was extremely helpful when I inquired about using a door sensor to link to the lock.Don't have to worry about locking myself out of the house any longer...

I just installed the lock a day ago. So far so good. It was easy to install. I had a question about the G2 Gateway because I’m using this on a rental property in a different state that I live in. Yes, you do need it to lock and unlock if necessary when you are out of state. Nancy called and text me back. Answered all my questions. She was great! I know if I ever have any problems or questions. They will respond within a few hours!! Thanks Nancy!!!

Returning it! Lesson learned, the app and app support has to be good to get the most value out of all the product features. Next Lock app is terrible. Buyer beware

I bought 3 of these door locks for my rental property and so far it was a good investment. No more changing door locks everytime a tenant moves out just add or remove fingerprints etc. The app is easy to use, No connectivity issues and product looks solid.

We have a keypad/key entry front door lock and it has been a life changer. It is so nice to not have to have your key to get into the house (not to mention if you forget and don't have your keys when you leave). Even if you have your keys it is so much easier to just punch in the access code. When I saw the Hornbill EKey, key, keyboard and fingerprint, App front door deadbolt lock with handlesets I decided to give it a try.PIC1 (I have labeled each picture in the upper right corner because they never appear in the order I add them to the review) shows how carefully the lock is shipped. You can see that each piece is individually wrapped and encased in protective foam.PIC2 shows what you get. Shown in this picture you will see the two halves of the door lock mechanism, misc. hardware (inside the 2 white boxes), the door handlesets, user manual and alignment guide.PIC3 shows the contents of the two white boxes. This includes the deadbolt latch for the handlesets, strike plates and strike boxes, mounting hardware, keys and IC Card/EKeys. Also shows is a folded single page (single sided) instructions and alignment guide for the deadbolt latch and handlesets. The deadbolt installation is described in the user manual.The user manual uses descriptions and pictures to illustrate the installation of the hardware and apps. I found the manual easy to understand except for a couple items (which I will go into more detail below).Installation of this lock was very easy for me because all the existing holes in my door were compatible with the deadbolt and lock mechanism. It was simply a matter of removing the old lock and installing the new one in its place.Once you have installed the hardware you install four AA batteries (not included). At this point you can enter the default password (123456#) to unlock the lock or hold the "#" for 2 seconds to unlock the deadbolt to test it out.Other locks like this that I have used allow you to set up the lock using the keyboard. I could not find anything to describe doing this in the user manual. The user manual describes how to install either the "TTLock" or "Next Lock" apps on your phone (I did this using my iPhone and selected the "Next Lock" app).Setting up the app and programming is very similar to other locks I have used and I had no problems with this (except for not being able to use the keyboard without the app). There are a couple items that I had to dig a bit to figure out and I will describe these as they may be helpful to you.The phone talks to the lock via Bluetooth so you need to be sure you are close enough with your phone for the Bluetooth signal.The app has a note (did not see this anywhere in the user manual) that you need to use a newly created password withing 24 hours or it will be suspended.if you make 5 mistakes in a row you get locked out. I did this by accident playing around with it. I read through the entire manual trying to figure out what to do and finally found the following in the back of the manual in the FAQ section: "Wait for 5 minutes and try again, or use the app or keys provided to open the door." Ugh!The user manual talks about Alexa and Google Home access. For you to use either of these you must also buy a G2 gateway which does not come with the product. I do not have a G2 gateway so I did not try and cannot comment on either of these two features. For me this is not a big issue because I will just use the phone. However, if you want to be able to remotely (outside Bluetooth range) control the lock or use either Alexa or Google Home you will need to also buy the G2 gateway.Quite a bit down the page in the Amazon product description you will find the lock is ip63 rated. I looked this up on the internet and found the following "IP63: Protected from total dust ingress. Protected from water spray less than 60 degrees from vertical."I did not have any problems that required me to contact customer service so I cannot comment on that.I gave this product a 5 star rating. If I could have I would have given it a 4 1/2 star rating but didn't think it deserved a 4 rating. There is nothing wrong with this lock. Everything worked just fine. I would have deducted 1/2 star because you need to buy an optional G2 gateway to get WIFI access, does not include batteries, is IP63 rated (others are rated higher) and you cannot (as far as I can find) program the lock using only the keyboard. In other words this lock just lacks some of the features I have found on other locks at the same cost point. The quality of the materials is good and the voice prompts is has while being used are helpful (voice prompts are something other locks do not have - just beeps or flashing lights).
