Sealing edge let water through.
Bought for my Aquarium sump, as i'm sure many will.They are well made and sturdy, will definitely last.However the edge that seals to the glass lets water passed, not enough to let debris bypass the filter, but enough to cause an annoying trickle of water which drove me insane. my old filter socks had a rubber gasket under the lip to prevent this. (didnt fit these though).

Mine had chemicals from the manufacturing process and created soap suds when water was run through!

Best filter socks
Work great.Cheaper and better than big name brand socks. Rinse out once a week, reuse for a month or two and then replace when you’re ready.
