These packets gel up liquids nicely. Paired them with biodegradable bags for our camping trip as the only toilet within 20 miles.The do help with odor but absolutely nothing is going to keep a camping toilet from smelling like a camping toilet.Easy to use, great value, out performed all of the others we've used and there are plenty of the little packets to last a family of 4 for well over a week. The size may seem small but there is almost twice as much per packet and the little bag they come in was surprisingly useful.

We used these for well over a month in 2024 when our toilet fell off its base while driving rough Alaska roads. We would use them again. We mainly used them at night. No solid waste deposited. We did find that if you bag the used toilet paper and not drop it into the toilet there is no smell when the bucket just has urine in it. A friend who also uses these agrees with that. If you put the toilet paper in the bucket it will smell and you can only use them one night. They were good for two nights for two people and did turn the liquid to jell. We accidentally tipped the pail in the campsite and it looks like a beached jelly fish. yuck!! We were glad to have them and would use them again. The bags we got with them held up very well. We will definitely be purchasing these on future camping travel.

This stuff is amazing!! It makes it so my camping “bathroom” had no smell at all our whole trip. I just sprinkle a little on top after doing my “biz” and was amazed at how fresh it kept it. It crystalizes the liquid so it doesn’t slosh. Love that it’s biodegradable as well. Highly recommend.

I bought it to restock as I was running out. I have use them before when camping with kids and they work well. I use them in a little portable toilet mostly for my kids and one pack is enough for them. But in case of an emergency I recommend 2 packs for an adult.
