Are these good over thermal socks for a full day of skiing in 15 degree weather?

I would say yes. I wear them for hunting (sitting motionless for 3-4 hours at 10-25°F). Wearing these with one good pair of wool socks, is more effective than two pairs of wool socks and a set of toe warmer pouches.
