Perfect for vintage to modern filters
Perfect for adapting larger filters to smaller thread size vintage lenses like my Nikons

A versatile set
Finely machined and lightweight. This in turn means that the threads have a tendency to lock up and require putting in the freezer for a while and then the use of a cloth or leather to enhance your grip to get them apart. I would recommend dry lubrication to try and reduce the chances of this happening. Graphite (pencil lead) perhaps, it rather depends on how squeamish you are about particles near your lenses. Acetyl alcohol could be another candidate. In use these are brilliant and unobtrusive.

They jam into lenses pretty fast
They work perfectly fine until it's time to take them off your lens. I'm not sure if it's a quality issue or something else I haven't considered yet, but I'm currently looking into getting a lens filter wrench to get it out. Hopefully it'll be a quick fix.

Just what I needed
I needed a set of step up rings to fit my 82mm ND filter on my 55mm lens. And it works perfectly and the rings were easy to separate.

If it gets stuck it’s a nightmare
Good but it gets stuck and it’s a NIGHTMARE to get it unstuck, saw another comment here and just bought a lens wrench kit so let’s pray from here!

It works
Looks a little funny when you have to go from a 77mm to a 59mm as I’ve needed but other than the look, it works. Cheap and cheerful, does the job.

For a budget item, they are sort of OK
For a budget item, these step up rings are sort of OK, but I did have problems with them when they arrived. Some of the rings came really badly stuck together. After a lot of struggling with them, and a few cuts to my fingers, I finally managed to release most of them. At least all of the ones I needed released. There were two rings that I just couldn't separate, no matter how much I struggled with them. Fortunately for me, they were for sizes that I don't have lenses for, so I didn't really need them separated for now. Still it would have been nicer if I hadn't had to struggle with them in the first place.Once separated, they don't exactly inspire an awful lot of confidence. I just hope that they don't get totally stuck to one of my filters. Only time will tell on that one. But for a tenner, they do at least appear to do the job and allow you to use your larger filters on your smaller lenses.
