Amtech T1675 50mm Steel Shutter Padlock

Got this for a special application that needed an 8mm shackle. Seemed perfect but two different purchases both came with 10mm shackles.Looking at the Amtech website seems like they don't make an 8mm lock anymore.I made some changes to the part being locked, packed the lock out with anti-seize grease and it works fine.

Very disappointed with the quality of these shutter locks although you do get what you pay for. I ordered 2 locks; they both came fully sealed so weren't second hand but nevertheless one of them was unusable - the ball bearing that locks the bolt in position was loose and therefore could not be locked.I don't hold up much hope for the second one either as the key does not always turn smoothly and requires some jiggling to ensure it has fully engaged. If I could find more expensive locks of the same dimensions I would not have bought these.

Solid feeling padlock. 3-pin tumbler lock. For some reason the key repeatedly jammed on first one meaning locking/unlocking was challenging, but seller quickly replaced, and no problems on 2nd.

get what you pay for

Good but only if kept away from water! After a few rainy days started noticing corrosion building up!

Good quality lock but the opening was as big as I was expecting for what I needed
