Great book for bullet journaling
I've been bullet journaling for about a year now, but until a few weeks ago I've been using a faux Midori system with cheap lined notebooks. I decided to upgrade for 2016 and I'm so pleased to have picked this book. The pages are thick enough that almost nothing bleeds through to the other side. There is a bit of ghosting when I use a dark pen color, but it's not enough to be distracting. Because my style of journaling leans towards art journaling, I end up gluing a lot of daily ephemera to my pages as well as using watercolors on my pages. This notebook can handle the abuse. It's not watercolor paper so there's some warping, but not nearly as much as I've seen in cheaper books. The reason I opted for a Leuchtturm was because it's designed to perfectly compliment the BuJo system. The grid paper lends itself to drawing in calendars, dividing the pages into smaller sections, and making check boxes for my to do lists. Of course, any quad ruled notebook can do that. What convinced me to spend a few extra dollars on this book were the pre numbered pages and included index. Those features are key to using a BuJo successfully and having them already incorporated into the book gave it added value to me. The two included bookmarks, storage pocket on the back cover, and how it opens perfectly flat no matter what page I open it to are just the cherry on top. If there are any cons to buying a Leuchtturm, it can only be the price. I know that I can buy any number of notebooks that cost significantly less than this one. But the quality is good enough to justify purchasing more of these in the future. A Leuchtturm notebook is still significantly cheaper than some of the dedicated planners on the market and, depending on your planning style, can last just as long. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who spends a lot of time writing analog notes for any project. I think it would make a particularly good travel journal due to the hard cover and elastic band that holds everything in place. Despite the way it's bound, mine doesn't have any trouble expanding to allow me to glue in business cards, mark the page edges with washi tape, and use numerous sticky notes and page flags on every page. I could see someone filling one with watercolor scenery sketches, photos, and postcards from a trip. And, of course, if you use the bullet journaling system, you can't go wrong with this book.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I just received my Leuchtturm Squared 5.75" X 8.25" (A5 Size) Notebook today but I thought I would share my thoughts on it right away in case someone else was in a similar quest for a notebook as I was. I wanted a notebook where I could jot down ideas and notes. I'm most comfortable with Engineering type paper, so I got the squared version. I plan on sticking with this notebook brand indefinitely for the following reasons: - The hard cover notebook looks and feels great. Once the packaging is removed, there are absolutely no visible markings of any kind, front and back. The only exception is small engraving in the back which is of the same black color so it is invisible unless you are really looking for it. This is not the case with Whitelines. I bought a full size A4 notebook for work which has a thin orange line with a label, which was tolerable. However, the soft cover A5 size Whitelines notebook I bought contains an obnoxious amount of unremovable advertising front and back. - The quality of the paper is great. I'm using a fountain pen with this notebook so one of my main concerns is paper quality. The two issues that poor paper quality can bring up are bleed through and feathering. With this paper, neither one is problem. From the research I did on Moleskine, their paper quality seems questionable, especially with bleed through. - Very organized. Table of contents in the beginning, numbered pages, pocket in the back for loose paper. - Squares do not obstruct the page. The selling point for the brand Whitelines is that the lines of the squared paper do not interfere with your writing. I agree with their assessment and I had some concern that I might not like how dark the squares are on the Leuchtturm. It turns out they are very faint and are just visible enough to be useful. I really can't ask for more in a notebook and I'm very pleased with this one.

Excellent Journal
I have used a few journals before settling on this particular one. When compared to the other journals I have used by Moleskine and Markings, there are quite a few perks and only one draw back that I have found. The Pros: 1.) My journal does lay flat when opened. 2.) The is a empty Table of Contents that you can fill in at the front. 3.) The pages are already numbered in a small font at the bottom of each page. 4.) Unlike Moleskine, I have had no problem with the binding coming off. Overall it is constructed well. 5.) Slightly wider than other Journals, so you have more room to write. 6.) It comes with stickers in the back pocket for filing. (Several large stickers for the cover or inside and a long one for the journal's spine.) 7.) Pen ink does not bled through the pages or smear. (I have not used a Sharpie yet and I currently use Uni-ball Signo's) The Con: 1.) Slightly wider than other journals, so it takes up more room. Overall, I am extremely happy with this journal and am already on my second.

Moleskine vs. Leuchtturm
I have used Moleskine for years and decided to try the Leuchtturm this year. Like the Moleskine, the Leuchtturm has acid-free, ind-proof paper. Pages feel solid and crisp. This specific notebook comes with two page markers (one solid, one striped), which is great. Like the Moleskine, this notebook has a pocket in the back. Here is my quick run down of the advantages and disadvantages between the two brands: Leuccturm Advantages: - Two page marker ribbons - Slightly larger, but still compact - A little less ink bleed-through - Page numbers - An index up front - A few tear-out sheets in the back Moleskine Advantages: - Slightly wider line spacing, which can be helpful if you need reading glasses Overall, I like the Leuchtturm a little better. However, the line spacing in this notebook is more narrow which is tough for me. But that's not quite enough pop a reason for me to go back to Moleskine. Both great notebooks. Depends on what features (or not) you want your notebook to have.

Perfect for my analog organization system--the bullet journal
This is my second Leuchturrm, and I love these notebooks. They are perfect for my bullet journal--all of my work and home lists in one place. While I still keep my calendar digitally, as it syncs to other family member's calendars, I definitely rely upon this analog system for my daily schedule, to do lists, notes and more. The paper is of good quality and my pens (Staedtler Triplus) do not bleed through. There are three pages for a table of contents, and all pages are numbered. I'm on the go to various meetings both in and out of my office building, and this is the perfect size to carry with me or to tuck in my purse.

A great technical notebook
I've been on the hunt for a good notebook, like one recommended by Edward Tufte (the famous information/visualization designer): the paper had to have lines that didn't interfere with my own marks, but still be good for prose, mathematics, and technical diagrams. Both the Leuchtturm Medium Squared and the Whitelines A5 Squared appeared to meet all my needs, so I bought both. The Leuchtturm's printed squares lines are a very light grey color that are among the lightest I've seen, other than something like the Whitelines. However, the lines never quite fade completely into the background, and are printed on both sides of the page. If you're a strong adherent to Tufte, you may want to go with the dotted or blank page designs (which includes a ruled card you can place behind your page as a guide,) or the Whitelines. Compared to the Whitelines, the Leuchtturm has a bunch of really nice features. Each page is numbered, and there are three pages at the front set aside for a table of contents. There's a built-in ribbon bookmark, and an elastic band to keep the notebook closed. There's a cardboard pouch built-in to the inside of the back cover. Leuchtturm includes a set of three cover and spine labels, which makes it easy to identify the contents of the notebook both when it's sitting out, and on the bookshelf. And the overall design is handsome, with a blank, black hardcover that resembles a Moleskine, an elegant title page, and minimal branding and adornment. For comparison, the Whitelines has none of those features, and includes an ugly "Whitelines Squared" logo on the cover, and a faint Whitlines logo at the bottom of each page. The Leuchtturm also has more sheets (125 vs. Whitelines' 100.) The one place the Whitelines beats the Leuchtturm, other than the softness of the lines, is in binding. The Whitelines uses a sprial ring binding, which allows it to lay flat both when laid open, and when 'folded' back. The Leuchtturm uses a more traditional thread binding. While they design it to open up wide, and lay relatively flat, you still need to hold it open when you write, and you can never bend the pages back past the 180-degree mark, so there's no way to fold it back in half. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the Leuchtturm. If I could have the design of the Leuchtturm, with the line style and wire binding of the Whitelines, I would have the perfect notebook. Until then, I'd probably buy the Leuchtturm over the Whitelines, though I haven't spent enough quality time with the Whitelines to say that with certainty.

Better than Moleskine, no longer great value
As a long time user of similar Moleskine books, I find this product to be better in almost every way. I include a picture of the Leuchtturm notebook next my last Moleskine book to show the size difference. I really appreciate the extra width, it seems to make my note taking more efficient. The pages seem at least as thick a Moleskines. The extra bookmark ribbon is useful as well. There are significantly more pages. Includes labels are handy, I immediately slapped one on my old Moleskine to archive it. The Leuchtturm seems pretty solid, time will tell if it is as durable a Moleskines (which for me hold up for over a year of use). I probably would be a faithful Moleskine user still, but I feel like they are over priced. Potential downside I can see is that the extra width and weight may bother some who carry notebooks in small pockets or bags, but this has not been a problem for me at all. In fact, I like the heft. I also included a page picture, the square size exactly matches standard graph paper (same as Moleskine). Update: I am finishing my 2nd or third notepad, durability is as least as good as Moleskine. However, price has gone up also...no longer the great value it used to be.

High Quality but little too expensive.
This was my first journal I just wanted to go with the best and safest option but come to realize the price is a little too much for a journal. On the bright side, the pen I use ( Pilot Precise V5 RT ) doesn’t bleed into any of the pages surprisingly, It has a lot of pages so if you’re doin sephardim doing aka a Habit tracker and goal/life system them I don’t doubt it’ll last a whole year. 9/10 recommend just do some research of on a budget. IMO i love it for the minimalistic design.

Drogi ale daje lekkie poczucie bycia premium
Wiadomo że drogi notes, pytanie czy warto. Notes lekko prześwituje, niektórzy to lubią.
