Boker Hawkbill 3 Inch Pocket Knife, Brown Jigged Bone, Traditional Series 2.0, Made in Germany

Well made, larger slip joint pocket knife. This is a larger knife, although perhaps not as large as the specs in the ad. I measure the blades to be just over 4.0", not the 4.5" as stated. Handle is 5.25"Nail nicks are large enough to easily open the blades. Blades have a nice polished, almost mirror like finish. Blades are centered when closed, nicely snap open and there's no play or wobble to them. Not as safe as a knife with a locking blade so be careful. This is probably larger than most pocket knives, so you might try and use it for more demanding tasks. For office work or light kitchen work this will be a fine knife.Both blades were sharp enough to pass the paper cut test right out of the box.I like the wooden rosewood scales. The color is slightly lighter, more amber-ish than what's shown in the ad's pictures. I would have been fine with either color, but actually prefer the color that I received.I'm still giving this five stars, although the knife isn't absolutely perfect, The knife bolsters, especially on the corners, sit ever so slightly proud. Really can't see it, but I do feel it when I run my fingertip over the area. Nothing that would ever give me a concern when carrying or using this knife, although something I noticed when I first inspected it.I don't use sheaths for my knifes. The one that came with this is likely perfectly fine, although the leather seems slightly thinner and more flexible than a sheath that came with a Buck 110 a few years ago. There are only two slits on the back that you thread your belt through, rather than a separate loop that all my other (admittedly unused) sheaths have. Might be difficult if you have wide to thick belts.
