Bought for my son a professional artist and he loves it.

Well packed. Good design and quality. A very good selection of items.

The pencil, which appears to be spring loaded compression fit, flew apart with some force without warning whilst using it, a small part flew out the top of the unit, narrowly missing my eye. Surely this item must under-go some sort of health and safety check, if not then it must be regarded as a health hazard. I cannot get the unit back together again, so I'm now left with a full packet of unused leads! A complete waste of money.

I decided to start drawing and painting again after ill health retirement so I was looking for art supplies at reasonable prices.I bought this as a trial. It's my first mechanical pencil so I am no expert by any means but as a amateur artist self leant, I know how sketch pencils work. After drawing few sketches using this I can tell you that this a great product. It works very well and come with mechanical pencil sharper too.I like to keep my Pencil sharp hence both work together as they should. It comes with bunch of 2mm lead refills so I believe it was a bargain hence I chose this over known brands as I did not want to spend more money on refills.My only slight grip on this item would be lead as it is advertised as B5 but it's not as dark as B5 should be but I can always buy different brand refill if needed. It is doing a great job. So far not a single breakage of led as it is 2mm thick.I am well impressed and will happily recommend anyone who want to try out mechanical pencil.

a mechanical pencil is a thing out of time. Its one of those devices that few people use these days; is remembered fondly by those that had them, but maybe never quite realised the joy of such a simple device.This unit takes the nice thick 2mm lead, has the lovely mechanical bevel at the top to twist to show the lead currently loaded, integrated lead sharpener in the tip (which goes to show how little this product is understood! no need for an extra sharpener!! these pencils have them built in!!)these are "old school" they are designed for those that love to draw or sketch and want something with "feel".This version has a lovely solid feel and heft; it feels well made and has a good action to the mechanics and is a joy to sketch with.

Great! Perhaps not quite as good as Staedtler, but almost! And the little sharpener is excellent because you can also sharpen coloured pencils. Let me explain; what you do is sharpen the coloured pencil - for example a Prismacolour with an ordinary sharpener - but only to a certain length (enough so you know it's not going to break), then stick the very tip in side the little sharpener and sharpen to a fine point. Still be careful, though because you know what some coloured pencils are like; in particular Prismacolour Premier.

I got this for sketching Manga and I am quite pleased with it. In the photos it looks more metallic than it actually is, but I didn't get it for that. It's a great pencil.
