However, the product is actually worth reviewing (if it wasn't, I would probably pass on the gift card), and I do have an interesting perspective because I have not been using it for joint pain. A while back, a dental hygienist told me that collagen with vitamin C improves flabby gums. I tried various hydrolyzed collagen supplements (beef, pork, fish), also gelatin, but none noticeably helped my gums and all make me feel sick ("general malaise"), although it took a while to discern collagen/gelatin as the culprit, or rather something related to glutamate/glutamine (I also do not react well to ever-popular bone broth for this reason). I gave up. Recently, my gums started bothering me again. I wasn't actually looking for anything to help, but I saw an advertisement for eggshell membrane, as a source of collagen, while shopping at Sprouts Market. I went home and read more about it on the Internet and decided to try it. My only two reasons for choosing this brand on Amazon are because it is without fillers, and one of the few reviewers mentioned being able to tolerate this form of collagen better than beef collagen. I have been using this daily for about three weeks, and it definitely does not make me feel sick like other collagen/gelatin supplements. My nails have been growing fast and strong (mentioned by the tolerance reviewer), my skin looks better, and I think my gums are improving too, but I need more time for my gums. This is a simple, inexpensive, long-lasting supplement, well worth taking the risk to experiment, and well deserving of a review. Glucosamine has never worked well for me. Eggshell membrane /keratin doesn’t. As a bonus it does help to make your nails stronger and hair healthier Not sure why thickness is a question unless they are asking the size of the capsule? Which unfortunately it is so for those that don’t like capsules you won’t be thrilled with this. I take mine with warm water and drink the water with a straw instead of trying to tip my head back.
