I paid just £5.80 (yes less than six pounds) buying from the AMAZON seller CENTRAL OFFICE SUPPLIES Ltd in Nov 2013.If like me you were suspicious of becoming the latest victim of some eastern sourced scam that's not worth the hassle of claiming your £5.80 back from, then I suggest you order (perhaps even a few) and get ready to smile, or possibly burst out laughing for the bargain of the year.It works - qualification. First 10 pages or so smudge badly. Not a problem in my opinion.Clear as a bell afterwards.The print output is heavier/darker than the HP original. Not a problem in my opinion.The unit is not the same shape cartridge as an original 49A for the HP 1300, but this does fit the housing exactly and performs exactly to my requirements.You may have your own experience of being "bumped" online by inaccurate or just plain fraudulent descriptors, but providing you understand the following items there is no problem with this purchase in my opinion.I received a third-party copy cartridge manufactured to the specification of the HP Laserjet originals.Refilling original carts would usually come to about £15 per time. Buying sealed original HP equipment costs up to £65 retail and therefore the savings posted are genuinely above 90% when compared on this basis.The units arrive well-packed and sealed like a new unit would do.As a business user I have found no major fault or impediment with the units.Feel free to watch this space and of course other reviews for reports of any long term issues.My experience to date, printing a few hundred pages, has been an entirely pain free one. At £5.80 (yes less than six quid) with free delivery, it is so cheap it's daft. 21 JULY 2015 Not changed opinion - after well over 1000 pages its still perfect.

I have used 49X cartridges from Amazon for years for my HP1320 printer. But the latest cartridge did not work when I installed. The print was very feint I contacted HP but they said the defective cartridge needed to be returned via Amazon. Unfortunately the Amazon return window had expired by the time I came to install the cartridge. The lesson is not to buy any product from Amazon if you may not be going to use it before the return window expires. HP1320 is an old printer and 49X cartridges may be very old stock by the time you buy them.

This toner arrived in it's package exactly right and as advertised.We weren't ready to use it straight away. On our return from holiday and needing to do a lot of printing, I changed the cartridge.The Print is extremely feint.Unfortunately the initial return time is just up.I will contact Amazon about the possibility of a return/exchange or refund.

Wrt to other reviews, I got this cartridge from Amazon today and it appears to be completely genuine, like others I've bought in the past from other vendors. The outer packaging had an HP holographic seal on the zip tab and the inner packaging seems fine too. (I haven't opened the inner packaging as my old cartridge hasn't run out yet.)Note that the item is sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Perhaps (I'm guessing) this was not the case previously.I can't see any signs of impending problems but will update this review if they do occur.Amazon's price (including next-day delivery with Prime) worked out to be 25% less than elsewhere, which I thought was worth a bit of support!

Ink already low and prints very streaky/blotchy. I’m a bit suspicious this was a used cartridge that’s already mostly spent. What a rip off

What more can you say? Its cheap, its the genuine article and its delivered really quickly. The box was a bit tatty but who cares about that. If you want a pristine box there are plenty of other suppliers that will charge you double for the privilege. If you just want a genuine HP cartridge, buy this one and throw the box away.

This is an ink cartridge for a laser printer. It's got ink in it. My old cartridge didn't have any ink left in it. Taking the old cartridge out and putting the new cartridge in meant my printer started printing again.So on that basis it's really good. Not sure what else to say about it really.

The quality of the printing by the toner purchased is not very good although it say this is original

My original Toner Cartridge is HP 49A. So, the product I bought works just like my original Cartridge.
