Well made. Should have brought awhile ago.

This is my second time purchasing this 3D multi-angle woodworking square ruler, and that alone says a lot about how well it works. The aluminum alloy construction feels high quality and solid in the hand, not flimsy or cheap, and the machining on the edges and markings is clean and precise. It makes laying out angles from 22.5 to 90 degrees fast and accurate, which is great for joinery, miters, and general layout work in the shop. If you want a compact, well-made multi-angle square that’s actually worth buying more than once, this one is an excellent choice.

Many of my tools, especially the hand tools are made in Ohio. They have the signature red anodized finish. Those American made tools ain’t cheap, so I am extremely careful with them. My premium priced tools get used in my shop. Cheaper versions of those tools get used when I am working outside. This tool has the overall look and feel of a precision American made product, but it is cheap enough to use in the wild. It may not be as accurate, but for backyard construction, it is good enough. If it falls off the roof or gets run over by the tractor, I won’t worry about the damage.

What can one say about simple things like this? They either work or they don't. If they work they're fine.

I really wanted to like this thing. Nicely machines, markings easy to read, and came well packaged in a nice little plastic box. First time I used it, I needed to scribe a line 1" from the edge of a board. Put the pencil in the hole marked 1" and drew my line. But when I looked at the line, it seemed too close to the edge of the board. Measured it with a tape measure, and it read 31/32". Ok, tape measures aren't exactly precision instruments, so I got out my digital calipers. Measured the tool to the 1" hole, and sure enough it read 31/32", a full 32nd off. Measured to the 2" hole, and it measured 1-31/32", again a 32nd off. I've attached photos as proof. I don't know if I just got a bad unit or if they are all like that, so I just returned it. Guess I'll have to splurge on the name brand.
