Fairly good value for money
The SINGLYFIRE Prairie Fire Outdoor Chiminea Fireplace Deck is a smallish metal one. It is tricky choosing an outdoor chiminea. I had a ceramic one for a decade and that eventually cracked and it eventually became unsafe. (Keep your fires moderate and donโt let them get too hot). Then I had a metal space age looking one for about five years. That rusted and also looked unsafe. The SINGLYFIRE Prairie Fire Outdoor Chiminea is painted and should manage to avoid rust. ASSEMBLY: It was very easy to assemble, Ikea would be impressed. SIZE: It is a good size for the space. It comes with a lid to help avoid accumulating water in the base. It also has a (not very attractive) rain cover for the winter months. OPERATION: It takes smallish sticks and wood logs nicely. They need to be no more than 30-40cms to fit properly. The closing front mesh door and the small opening below it allow the fire to breath reasonably effectively. Smoke does tend to escape from the front top 15cms of the opening especially when you put new material in. It seems the chimney diameter is not quite wide enough for all the smoke to escape quickly enough. That will of course depend on wind direction. On a still day with little wind you can see smoke swirling around in the top part of the bowl and eventually escaping through the top part of the front grill. Keeping the fire from getting too fierce is important with a chiminea. Initially there will be some fumes as the heat cures the paint and that is another reason not to let the fire get too big for the first few uses. This seems to be good to vey good value for money.

You get what you pay for. Itโs worth it.
Iโm searching hard for an X-Large clay chiminea, but in the meantime, this works great. Very easy to put together. Some parts may not lineup exactly but itโs easy enough to manipulate and get a solid fit. My only concern is I live in a windy area and this is kinda light. But it burns well. Has good ventilation and gets nice and toasty. Obviously not as sturdy as a clay chiminea, but for the price, it works great.

Not too thin
UPDATE: Okay, so it's been a couple of months now. Used 3 times for my plentiful paper (even some plastic) waste and Amazon boxes. I'm in the N.E. Washington deep dark wet woods. Perpetually dark, cloudy skies in the winter/spring. Good testing grounds. Kept it under it's cover. It's such a nice chimenea! For you who wondered? No. No rust noted yet. And EVERYTHING rusts out here. Burning hot papers and cardboard, roaring rocket flames from top of smoke stack. So abused? Yes. It's just fine for me, folks. Will update this over the lifespan of the product perhaps. Thank you, Singlyfire. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Good sized. It's all at least stovepipe material or thicker. Looks sturdy. Can't complain for the price. Will update after I've burned a bunch of mail and cardboard. Looks better than the garbage can I was using. Assembly was not difficult. Synched everything down really good. Only technical wish was for a larger, higher up grate and bottom center ash door/drawer for frequent paper ash burning/emptying. May cut my own with Dremel.

It'll do, happy I got it, but it's not too quality.
I'd give this 3 1/2 stars...Good fire pit for the patio. Ideally I wanted a ceramic chimenea, however I like that this one is easy & lightweight to move. It was simple to put together, HOWEVER, there were 2 sections on the schute that would not align at all. Even my husband, a 30 yr. sheet metal worker, could not get the screws to fit in the holes. It still works, though. Another negative is the door is "wonky" and cheap, does not close well and isn't sturdy. Lost review stars also for not having an opening at the bottom to release the ashes ๐. Overall, I do not regret this purchase, it'll do.
