No-nonsense, No-brainer On-the-Go Checklist
I'll be very plain about this: there's not a lot here, but that's as it was designed. This is a slim volume to check off classic GI Joe military era items as you collect them. There are no illustrations of the items, or photos, but simply clean lists for every aspect of the military era of the toy. That's it. What makes this vaguely genius is that it's very concise, and easily transportable as you go out into the wild to collect. In fact, I might even recommend that you purchase two of these and have one to keep at home, nice and clean, and one to take with you on your adventures in GI Joe collecting. While I understand that this is what it was intended to be, I think perhaps some illustrations or photos would have been nice. There are a few photos at the beginning of each section, but simply to decorate each opening, and that's all. There are notes here that indicate there are more volumes to follow, so again I understand that this is just an opening salvo from the writer's Tommy gun. And as far as that goes, it is what it is. A nice way to quantify your collecting, with no frills, no muss, and no fuss.

Just a check list
Just a check list like the ones you got in old bubble gum cards . No photos ,if you didn't know GI Joe you'd be lost . I'm sure there was effort in compiling the list but there are better books out there . The james DeSimone one comes to mind or the bigger vincent santelmo book
