Rock Chick Rematch was such an incredible story. The love, heartache, longing, and hope filled me up and I loved every second. I was thrilled Darius was getting a story and after reading it, my heart felt full. Malia and Darius had such a soul-deep connection mixed with a painful history and I loved the build as they finally made their way to a well-deserved happily ever after.I loved how this was set up, going between past and present, I was excited and full of anticipation waiting for time to catch up and to get to the present day. The build was fantastic! I really liked getting the ins and outs of Darius and Malia’s relationship, learning their history and all they went through. They had this push and pull between them filled with love and passion, and I couldn’t get enough. I felt for Malia and loved how strong she was and how determined she was to do everything she could for their son. My heart broke for Darius and his sacrifices to do what he thought was right for them and his family. This had so many poignant moments and important details and I ate it up. Darius and Malia's love story stood the test of time but it was filled with drama and pain, but the hope, love, and redemption made it that much sweeter when they finally got to their HEA.I really liked being able to see some of my favorite characters, especially Tex. I loved meeting new people like Malia's friends and sister and found all their crazy antics super entertaining. I loved the bond that Darius has with Lee and Eddie as well. There were a lot of witty scenes that brought all the fun thanks to the Rock Chick Hot Bunch gang. I also loved Darius and Malia’s son, Liam, there were a lot of great moments with him.I didn’t know how much I needed this book. It was excellent! I loved how the entertaining moments mixed with the heavy, balancing everything out. If you are a Rock Chick fan, you’ll definitely want to read this one!

I love KA and I was glad to get Darius’ story… But, I wish we would have gotten more of his life in his “lost” years”. I also couldn’t take the gaslighting of everyone the h cares about. Almost every single person lied and gaslit Malia. And at the end of the conflict the consensus was that she was wrong for being angry, not that they were all wrong for what they had done. There wasn’t a single apology to her or acknowledgment that what they did was wrong. I will never get over the audacity of her parents and sister, if it were me i would have cut off contact with them for such a betrayal.

I devoured this baby in one afternoon, I LOVED being back in the Rock Chick World.If you have read any of the Rock Chick Series you'll remember Darius Tucker, he's one of the Hot Bunch that works for Nightingale Security and is Shirleen's nephew, well Kristen Ashley has finally given us his story! I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. Darius and Malia's story has so many twists and turns you'll want to buckle up for this ride but I promise it is worth every bump in the road.We start off with Malia and Darius in High School, this is pre Rock Chick but the core gang is there, we get to see how things played out from when they were high school sweethearts (16/17 years old) thru present day. This book runs parallel to the Rock Chick Series and while many will read it as a standalone I highly recommend reading it after you have read the series, that way there are no spoilers for the other couples and some of the things that happened in their stories.Darius has always been a mysterious person he comes off as a morally grey character but the more you get to see the real him the more you realize he's less grey and absolutely golden. Would I go as far as calling him a cinnamon roll? Probably not but he has the best qualities of one while he is as dangerous as a morally grey alpha male can be too. Does that even make sense? Well, read the book and tell me if you agree with my assessment of him. 😉Rock Chick Rematch has set up Ms. Ashley's next series rather nicely, I am looking forward to reading AVENGING ANGEL, the first book in her new series which is set to release on April 2, 2024 This series will be taking place in Phoenix, AZ with the Nightingale Investigations & Security crew opening a new branch there.
