MiiCoffeeD40+ Single Dose Coffee Grinder (Black)

I am new to coffee grinders, espresso machines and all the accessories so tried to do a fair amount of research before any purchases of such equipment. I wanted something that would perform well but a small kitchen makes size a large part of the consideration. I purchased a Breville Bambino Plus so needed a companion grinder. I have used this grinder daily now for two months and it has performed very well. I had to set the dial up to 6 for the beans I am using. There is little retention, I usually get the same wt out as put in, there is never more than 1 gram difference. I find clumping varies, depending on the bean - I buy beans from a local roaster and one type clumps a bit more than the other, but in my limited experience I do not consider the clumping excessive. I do use one of those WDT tools, and seems to work well, I get consistent results. I do not find the noise at all excessive or objectionable, especially since it only takes a short amount of time to grind. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it felt when I took it out of the box (it comes very well packed), has a good weight for its size. Love the look of it and the size is perfect next to my Bambino Plus with my limited counter space. Time will tell, of course, but so far I am very pleased with this purchase. I am so much happier with the espressos coming from my machines than I ever was with inconsistent coffee shop drinks.

Llevo usando el molino por tres meses y hasta ahora ha funcionado perfecto. Sin embargo, hay algunas cuestiones a tomar en cuenta antes de adquirirlo:-No tiene botón de encendido/apagado como tal, el botón que tiene es para activar el molino, así que al conectarlo de inmediato prende una luz que siempre está encendida mientras esté conectado a la corriente pero nada grave.-Hay que hacer varias pruebas antes de obtener el molido que buscas, especialmente para espresso. De hecho, hay que darle una vuelta completa más allá del número más pequeño, para obtener los molidos que se requieren para espresso. Esto es, al llegar al número 0, sigue girando hacia la derecha hasta llegar nuevamente al 3, y de ahí empieza a hacer pruebas de molido porque de penderá del tipo de tostado. En mi caso, que regularmente uso tostado medio, varía entre el 2.5 y 3.-Al usarlo, obtendrás un mejor resultado su agregas despacio los granos de café. En inglés llaman a esto "slow feeding" mi me pasó el tip un gran barista con quien tomé cursos. Esto hará que la molienda sea más homogénea.-Considera que necesitas también una báscula gramera para obtener mejores resultados.-Mi molino llegó con algunos residuos de café, supongo que lo habrían probado antes, sin embargo, revisé y estaba en perfectas condiciones, sin rasguños y en empaque original.Hasta ahora estoy muy contenta tanto con su funcionalidad, como con su estética.

What a great little grinder! This was an upgrade from the original model and great to see the grind setting is now stepless which is a good improvement as previous stepped model made dialling in a shot more difficult. It’s a great design and easy to use and maintain - I use virtually exclusively for espresso but would be good for other coarser grinds. Good reviews on YouTube.Also Mii Coffee customer service is great - had some issues with previous model and company sorted out quickly and efficiently - you can buy with confidence!

Mam młynek od 4 miesięcy i po tym czasie mogę z czystym sumieniem powiedzieć że go nie polecam - owszem mieli i dość łatwo go czyścić, więc daje 2 gwiazdki za to że spełnia swoją funkcję. Natomiast z wad - wydaje dziwny, wysoki dźwięk kiedy podłączy się go do kontaktu - dlatego trzeba go podpiąć, szybko zmielić i od razu wyłączyć od prądu, bo szczerze to nie wiem co by się stało gdybym go tak zostawił, wolę nie próbować. Włącznik czasem nie działa - zdarza się że trzeba nacisnąć dwa razy żeby włączyć/wyłączyć młynek.Jeśli zależy więc wam tylko na mieleniu ziaren - to ok, można brać, jeśli natomiast chcecie mieć spokój psychiczny i nie zastanawiać się co się stanie jeśli zapomnicie odłączyć go od prądu to nie polecam.
