What I gained from reading THE VISION
After reading "THE VISION" by Rick Joyner, I have to say it is one of the best books I've seen. It has given me great understanding about the Bible, and has changed the way I think about Christianity. (If you Google Search "Rick Joyner MP3" You can listen or read the book online for free). The book is a combination of many visions the author had. The main vision depicts the Armies of God fighting the Armies of the Evil one. Many great insights are revealed by the way these armies fight, their tactics, what weapons they use, the mistakes they make, the opportunities they miss, etc. The vision continues with the author walking in the Judgment Hall of Heaven, meeting may past saints, and hearing their stories. The Book, which is actually a combination of 2 books, "THE FINAL QUEST and THE CALLED", had a profound effect on me in these ways.1. It has dramatically increased my faith in Jesus.2. It has demolished any faith I had in Myself, Mankind, or Man's wisdom.3. It has given me a sobering awareness of the Evil one's tactics and craftiness, and how he uses Christians to do his work.4. It has revealed many empowering and glorious resources of the Lord that I did not consider which has given me more Hope.5. I started to see the overall picture of God's Plan. And different parts of the puzzle started fitting together in harmony, and I got answers to many of the Hard Questions of Christianity.6. It has shown many of the Pitfalls and Traps that even the Seasoned, Mature Christians will fall into, and yet not even know they have fallen. The lessons were profound yet simple. They were they same lessons learned from the Bible, yet even I who have studied the bible have many times overlooked them. The Lord could not trust people with much anointing or power, until they learned the lessons.7. It reveals a great deal about those who hate the book, fight against it, and think it is from the Devil. He meets many of those types of people in Heaven, and their stories radically change after hitting the Judgment Seat.It is a MUST READ for anyone pursuing the Lord.

The Vision
This book was a combo of The Final Quest & The Call. In The Quest the author talked about climbing a mountain that had ledges at every level. The higher you went the ledge became narrower and more difficult to stand on, especially when the demons started secreting on them making them slippery. Each level represented a biblical truth. With the level of difficulty increasing you were tempted to stop climbing however, stopping made you susceptible to the enemy’s arrows. Besides that, the higher you went the stronger and more skillful you became. He explained how pride makes us vulnerable because it sneaks up from behind therefore we must be clothed in humility. The Call was a continuation of the vision. The author stated that we must not look at ourselves because when we are used, it is because of who God is not who we are. When you fall you cannot figure things out, you will only sink deeper. We must remain in God’s presence then the whole earth will be filled with glory because we will see nothing but glory. People are important because God speaks to us through people even those who do not know him, so we must know his voice so we can recognize when he is speaking. Humility enables you to see and when you take off the cloak of humility you become spiritually blind and deaf. True authority comes with responsibility which means mistakes have consequences. This was a very interesting book that told of prophetic experiences. You will recognize that throughout the prophetic experience the author was constantly guided by wisdom. It is beautifully written and paints a vivid picture in your mind of heaven and the judgment to come which encourages us to live in a way that pleases the Lord.

For those who hunger & thirst...
The bible in 1 John 4:1, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." I fervently encourage that you do just that with this book. Because I know in my heart that you will feel the Spirit speaking to you from the pages of this book. The only reason I'm writing this review is because I want every Christian to experience the joy of knowing & growing in the LORD that I experienced more fully in reading this book.I believe Rick Joyner to be a great man of God, but the man himself is not important. The message of this book has nothing to do with Rick Joyner, believe me, the Spirit will be showing you thing in your heart and there is noway you will put down the book unchanged.I don't quite know what else to say to adequately encourage that you make this purchase. In fact, the only argument I can find for NOT purchasing this book is that everything within it can be found in the pages of your bible. From the words and actions of Jesus that are recorded in the gospels to words of biblical prophets (especially John's vision in Revelations) you have the main substance of this book. Joyner's vision of the state of the church today, the blindness of Christians, the need for humility and above all love of others worthy of the love Christ has for us, will give you a new hunger and thirst. In fact, the book will make you want to read again the Gospels, so you can fall in love all over again with a most wonderful Savior. Just buy the book.
