Cool Breeze (Trawler Trash)

I have read all of this author's works thus far. I was interested because he and his wife had the courage to give up the day to day grind for a life most of us only dream about. His earlier writings were at the most average, however, this is proofing the Stephen King statement that to be a good writer you have to keep writing. In my opinion this book is a quantum leap from his earlier results. I enjoyed it immensely and finished in 1 and 1/2 days. He has crossed over to an author I can't wait to release his next novel. Great work and this author should be very proud of his accomplishments and his vast improvement in his abilities. I have never meet Ed Robinson and have no connection to him other than reading is books.

I like reading serials and I like reading these. Meade Breeze is a character and so are his friends. The stories are based around his travels and adventures along the east coast and down into the Caribbean. He lives on a Trawler and goes on "missions" that he somehow gets involved in. Since I'm older I can relate to some of the situations Breeze finds himself in. They can be read superficially or metaphorically. Beautiful women, action, adventure, and quirky characters along with a quick witted author makes this series a must read for the avid reader and "wanna be" Caribbean Trawler captain.

I've been hooked since the Leap of Faith book and have read all the books as soon as they've come out and always eagerly await the next book. The Trawler Trash series is hard to put diem and has contributed to me not getting a full nights sleep. The details Ed includes of the locations, passes and conditions make you feel as if you are there. I would highly recommend any and all of Ed's work!!

A redhead will get you every time. Just when you think he's good to go, something happens. Hope he doesn't have to keep running.

The characters are well defined and keep the stories flowing. I have read several books and enjoy the author with the characters and geography that keep you turning pages.

This was a good book to read for the excitment of being on the water along with the legal end of things. It had many good twists and turns along with romance, exciting characters and good information on boating. It was a great summer read. Anybody who has wanted to be a boat bum or live care free in the sun would like Cool Breeze.

Including Cool Breeze, I have now read the last three books in the Meade Breeze series. I have enjoyed all three, and I am looking forward to what comes next for Breeze. Meade Breeze reminds me of Travis McGee. Both live on a boat in Florida. Both live on the edge of society. Just like McGee, Breeze does a lot of thinking. He has regrets and nightmares. Like McGee, he laments the current condition of Florida specifically and the whole of society in general. Nowadays, Breeze tries to do the correct thing, but he still continues to get into and out of trouble. I hope he and his creator, Ed Robinson, are with us for many years to come. I have now ranked this series first on my not so long list of books where I eagerly await the next adventure.
