Activa class 1 below the knee support stockings
I was unfamiliar with the different type of stockings so used the tables provided by the seller. I just needed something to give me a little extra support while being on my feet all day at work (social care work), but did not want tights as they can be uncomfortable to wear with trousers. With superficial varicose veins and a tendency for my right ankle to swell up by the end of the day, I reckoned that I needed the 14 -17 mmHg type stocking. This has worked well, and I feel less tired as a result of wearing them to work. They fit well and the honey colour is fine for me, though some people said in their reviews that they found this colour too orange. The speed of the delivery took me by surprise, as they arrived within two days of ordering.

Comfortable and well fitting
These are low compression but stronger than flight socks. I have moderate oedema and they definitely help. I also use medium compression but think these are just as good. I wondered about the size. I’m size 9 shoes and fairly normal build so went for medium size and they are just right. Have now ordered another pair.

They run a bit small, go up a size.
I am suffering from extreme swelling to my leg, ankle and foot as a result of numerous DVTs causing venous insufficiency in my legs. These socks are a godsend. They are made of a nice, soft material and last wash upon wash, wear upon wear (although I do have a few on rotation). I wear the open toe variety as find them less hot and sweaty in the summer months and also it’s possible to wear casual flip flops with them too. Size wise, I’m at the top end and the size guide suggested I buy an extra large size. In the end I went for an extra extra large and was glad that I did as these worked out to be the perfect size. Not a nightmare to put on, partly I think because I have gone for the open toe. I’d advise going bigger in these socks if you are buying for the first time as they do come up a bit snug in size.

Awful colour
I’ve ordered these support socks before but I’m finding the colour of my recent purchase awful. Far too orange. I only wear these indoors! Previous socks are a bit paler. Fit is fine.

An excellent support stocking
The open toe makes it easier to put on than other support stockings, especially with a short lining that can be pulled out of the opening.
