The kit had everything I need to create a guide string for lighting on my screen porch. Nice, neat application.

This hardware kit is everything you need to install a sunsail except for the tools. Met 5he specs of our sunsail exactly as to gage of wire and size of hooks, etc., which was so much more convenient than shopping for those things individually. I'm really impressed with the make of everything in this kit. Very heavy duty and professional level looking hardware.

So I got the 100 ft version of the 1/8 diameter kit and it is much better quality than I was expecting. Keep in mind that the wire does not have any coating on it but I prefer it without the coating because if you install it correctly then the line will last for years and years no problem and you don't have to worry about a coating degrading on it. The hardware in the kit will deteriorate and corrode faster than the wire itself wheel if installed correctly and not abused with abrasion such as rubbing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. The hardware is a very nice quality as well though and everything in the kit is nicer than I was expecting it to be. I recommend using a grinder to cut the wire if you don't have the specialized cutting tools but make sure you take your time when grinding it so you don't free the ends up too much. It might be a good idea to wrap electrical tape around the predetermined ends before cutting and that will assure that it doesn't fray nearly as much. This cable can easily handle hundreds of pounds of tension and maybe even a couple thousand but I might recommend something bigger if you need that much tension for long periods of time. You could easily pull the hardware out of its mounting surfaces before the cable breaks it is literally that strong!! I can definitely recommend this kit if you are looking to secure things down such as overhead canopies the endure extreme winds. Definitely five stars and well worth the price

I got this kit to help string up some long term cable supports for a tall evergreen that got beat up during the last heavy wet snow storm of the season. The kit is great and based on pricing a few components out at the hardware store, a good value for everything included. It worked well for the one purpose I've used it for and expect it would work well for others. The turnbuckles are the best part - very smooth to twist / tighten. The cable is really nice as well. No plastic coating like the 1/16" version but stainless so shouldn't matter. I was pretty proud of my first ever crimp/clamp ending (see pic).A few random thoughts from someone (me) who had never worked with 1/8" steel cable before:- Have a tool that can cut it. I used a combination of oscillating tool and heavy wire cutters - not ideal- Don't drop the wire bundle - it took me 20 minutes to untangle and recoil it- I could have used 1/16" cable for what I used it for. It's a lot easier to work with.

I have been using this kit for various cross-bracing on a large fencing project I am doing in my back yard. My project involves wire fencing so the posts need to be cross-braced at the corners so the fence can be stretched properly without pulling the posts out of plumb. All the hardware in this kit appears to be high quality stainless steel and are easily strong enough for cross-bracing 8 foot fence posts. The only part I have not tested (and will probably never use) are the wire rope clamps since I use the crimping sleeves and a crimping tool. This is a nice quality kit for a reasonable price and much, much cheaper then buying the individual parts at a the local big box store.

They show turnbuckles in the picture but they were not included in my package. I would have returned but need this asap so I went to local hardware store and purchased them.
