I purchased this product for my 3 year old son who happens to be on the spectrum. He absolutely loves these wooden blocks and they’ve improved his spelling. There are also cards inside that allow us to practice writing together. I highly recommend this for parents who are trying to make learning fun for kiddos on the spectrum.

I decided to go with this one because of the wood like. It’s sturdier than other paper products, the board itself seems a little thin but the letter blocks seem good to me. The pens did work and erased but did leave some smudges of color so definitely keep in mind that it won’t be as white as it is now unless you either get better cards or better quality markers. For now these will do. I love the versatility on it of being able to write or put the letters together. My daughter is 2 so we’re in the stage of learning letters but this will definitely come in handy when teaching her small words. I like how the vowels are a different color so it will help with teaching kids the difference. Price is great for what you get for.

This set can be used in many ways to build reading and spelling skills in a small group or individual setting. The materials are lightweight, so could easily bend or break with rough handling. The cards come separated, are easy to write on, flexible, and thin. One main issue I have with this set is that the letter "a" is the double-storey font and not the single-storey (ball and stick) that most young children learn to identify and to write in school.

This is a nicely designed set with several different activities for practicing reading skills. The one glaring problem (which is definitely a problem if you are trying to teach kids the difference between vowels and consonants) is that consonant blocks are supposed to be blue and vowels red. I say "supposed to be" because all the "o" blocks are painted blue as if they were consonants. It is strange.

This kit is a great learning tool for reading, writing, and spelling. The pens work well and erase well, however the green does leave behind some cloudiness. Definitely get a dry eraser because the cards will absorb moisture. The cards and lines are a generous size, giving plenty of space for the younger children working on penmanship. The pictures on the cards are simple, but cute and age appropriate; and the wooden tiles are easy to handle. They made all the vowels on the cards and tiles a different color, another fun way to learn with this set. The bag almost doesn't hold everything, possibly only one of the downfalls of this kit; but if you pack it well enough, it'll fit with no space to spare.

These have made our job as home schoolers a lot easier with our now learning to read/write child, they are sturdy and very easy to read and use, most importantly, he gets excited to use them often, so making it easier for us to teach him. Highly recommended.

I got this to help my child who is homeschooled to help learn to spell and make it fun. She is catching on really well and doesn’t feel like she is learning

This is fantastic for beginning spellers. Kindergartens in particular would benefit from this activity set.Love the blue consonant wooden letter blocks and the red vowel blocks. Perfect practice for learning between the two types of letters. Word cards comes with it along with pictures on the other side of the word.I would highly recommend this for any parent with children in the early literacy stage, especially kindergarten age.Overall fantastic quality and price point.
