Q: What weight for just tire striking for a male and female?

Hello, Thank you for your question. The choice of weight needs to be determined according to your needs and exercise level. If you have not used it before, it is recommended to start with the smallest weight. Thank you!

Q: I am looking for a 50 lb. mace but see that is not available. Can the lower weights give an equivalency of 50 lb. based on how the handle is held?

Short answer is "no". You won't get a lower weight (say 25lb) Mace to feel like a 50lb by changing your grip height on the shaft. Changing grip height normally makes the weight feel lighter/more manageable. That being said... you can increase the challenge of a lower weight by changing swing speed/torque, switching between single and two-handed grip, and changing up your exercise selection. Also, if you've never swung anything close to a 50lb mace, go with a lighter weight. Not sure what your Mace swinging experience is... but... a 50lb Mace feels nothing like a 50lb dumbbell or kettlebell... if either of those things are what you are using for your measuring stick.
