Bought this after hearing how many folk my age lose their teeth through gum disease. I've had an electric toothbrush before the the vibration was too much for me. This has much less vibration and is much easier to use. Has an app for your phone but I've never used that. Can honestly say my teeth have never felt cleaner and haven't had any gumm bleeding since I got it. It was expensive but the battery life is great.

Very well constructed, with a clear coloured display. Selecting the programs is easy and there are lots of options to clean your teeth, gums and tongue thoroughly. The battery lasts about 12-14 days and has a convenient magnetic wireless charger. This can also be connected to the included travel case. It's also very quiet in operation.It took a couple of days to get used to the 'sonic' aspect of this brush. It vibrates intensely and you do feel that your eyeballs might pop out at any minute! There are calmer programs to select though.You can get several different brush heads and they all do a fantastic job of cleaning your mouth and teeth. From gentle, to massage to invigorating and polishing. The only program I could not tolerate was the tongue cleaning. It will depend on your own gag reflex but I found it all too much!It is expensive however and I think a lot of the cost is down to the bluetooth options. I personally find that a bit of a gimmick and it's not easy to view your phone when brushing your teeth. Also if you have a row of teeth missing it will not be factored in when giving you a score. So I haven't used that. However some people may find this useful. I managed to get a big discount deal on this, so the price whilst still high was more acceptable. You do get an exceptional toothbrush for that though and I don't think other brands come anywhere close.

I really like this brush, I love the feeling it gives you after every clean. Very easy to use, a decent battery life, so money well spent. Really happy 5 Stars!

I have autism and one of the things I have challenges with is I can't stand the feel of an electric toothbrush as it brushes. So I have dropped to manual toothbrushing for the last few years. However, with the IO9, I can concentrate on the app and my brushing technique rather than the sensations the tooth brush creates. I have quite bad gingivitis and finally feel I can stop it getting any worse by using an electric toothbrush.The toothbrush and the app connected very easily via bluetooth.One thing I have noted is not only does it clean my teeth, gums and tongue better, it is actually less damaging to my gums than a manual toothbrush. Which I didn't expect. I'd often find my gums were sore after using a manual toothbrush (not bleeding, they just tore the gum). This has not happened with the IO9 even when brushing my gums and the tops of my teeth for longish periods.I do find the green light when you are brushing correctly better than the app guidance, quite often the app will say I'm applying too little/too much pressure when the light on the toothbrush is actually green. Not sure why that happens.Although this toothbrush is very expensive.., it seems worth it. When you consider how expensive it is to see a dentist, better brushing will make this money back in no time. I have bought some extra brush heads under black friday deals so have enough for at least a year. Again, expensive but not compared to paying for a dentist appt.
