Great mount, but with a problem. First the mount is great, holds my phone secure. I have two motorcycles and have these on both. I've gone down and the phone stayed tight and in place. Now the problem. The plastic nut that secured the head piece will break if tightened too much. I have split them on both mounts. I would expect a metal nut not a plastic one. Techmount replaced the first one, and I'm waiting to hear back from them on the second which broke while installing it, brand new. With a mount this good, I would buy again as I have, but this nut issue I would expect to be addressed. As you can see, I'm not the only one who's had issues with this nut problem.

Made of durable high quality material and looks good on the motorcycle. Very easy install!!Update: After 2 1/2 months and initially giving this item 5 stars, I would have to give it 1 star now. The item was amazing and worked perfectly until one day I get on my motorcycle and the plastic nut that holds the cell grip upright is cracked. I'm not sure if it's a faulty part or just cheap material. I feel they should have made that nut from a lightweight aluminum instead.

Okay, I've used this mount for a little over a year. Let me start by saying it is a good mount, it holds my phone through high speeds and vibration and has never fallen off. I am completely confident with this mount that it will keep my phone right where it is.Now, the reason I gave it 3 stars, while it is a very good mount, the adhesive that they use to grip the phone will wear off over time. This means the longevity of what holds your phone has an expiration date until you need to replace the adhesive, which in my opinion is stupid. I want to buy a mount where it's good to go one time and that's it. This Tech Gripper was so promising, but that damn adhesive falling off over time just killed it and I am going to look for a different mount. I wasn't rough with it at all and never even touched the adhesive with my own hands until I had to manually slide it back into place every time because it slowly kept coming off with each and every use. Eventually... the adhesive will weaken and I will have to rely on the hard plastic to hold my phone into place... that is NOT going to happen. I'll find a different mount.

I purchased this mount for use with my iphone 5s with LifeProof Fre case on my 1995 Honda Magna. The kit was a breeze to install. None of the included hex keys fit the OEM bolts on my control clamp but this was a non-issue as I have the proper size tool in my own collection. I used the included metric bolts and small sized spacers on my bike. Installation takes only a few minutes.Once the ball mount was on, I put on my helmet, sat on the bike and found a comfortable position and tightened all of the adjustment bolts down. My first ride using this iPhone mount was a 50 mile trip on curvy back roads at speeds ranging from 35 to 85mph. The screen had ZERO vibrations. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of this mount and would highly recommend it to anyone with an iPhone and LifeProof case. I will be purchasing one for each of my bikes.Another cool feature is that the ball socket will most likely fit other ball mounts, so the cradle should be able to be easily transferred to your car for a windshield mount.

This is a great product. I already had the TechGripper from a previous handlebar mount on a bike I just traded in. Now with my new Street Glide Special, I felt the control mount was the way to go (even after putting apes on the bike). This thing was a breeze to install.One thing I recommend, which I noticed upon install was that with the provided hex tool, I was unable to get the proper tightness of the bolt that attaches the pivot ball to the actual mount. It could have been me, but it just kept free swiveling. Luckily I had a socket with the same size hex and was able to get the extra tightness to secure it and prevent it from rotating side to side.Very happy with this product, and really love the Techmount. I found it works better with my Galaxy S6 Active than the Ram Mounts version due to those volume buttons on the side.

I mounted this on my HD Tri Glide (brake side). I did this to take advantage of the USB port located directly behind it.I mounted the system by myself and had no problems. However, installation would go more smoothly with an additional pair of hands.So far, I find the holder to be everything as advertised. The grip and location work very well for my set up. Time will tell if this system holds up under normal wear and tear. Will follow up if my review needs to change.

I've had many handlebar phone holders and this one is by far the best looking and best design. Very solid, grips perfect and barely noticeable vibration. Low profile and clean lines. Black was a perfect match with my black CVO Road King handlebars. Easy to mount with the Harley bolts with long spacers. Make sure you hold control assembly carefully when removing bolts so you don't drop it when it comes loose.
