Samantha Todd writes in a clear, concise style and this book is highly readable. Packed with practical ideas, it is a useful tool for professionals working with children and young people with autism. Dr Todd guides the reader to look at things from the perspective of the young person which helps the reader think about how to support children and young people in various settings and situations. Truly an excellent little book.

Highly recommend this book - very well written and gives you an overview of autism, which isn't complicated to understand.

Although I am not a health care professional, I found this book superb. At last, a book that explains Autism in laymans terms! I now have a good understanding of what Autism is, what the causes are, what is meant by the "Spectrum" of Autism and, most helpful of all, what helps Autism. Why no one has written this simple, clear and concise little book before I will never know. But, please keep writing...... Many thanks to Dr Samantha Todd, long may you write!!!

We ordered two of these books however 1 arrived badly damaged and scuffed and it is not what you would expect from a new book purchase.

A great little book full of useful, practical information. I feel well informed and better equipped to understand autism. Thanks to the author for making it accessible.
