Review: Great tool, go slow and pay attention. - I purchased this for a few guitars that I have with sharp-ish frets. I am not a great player; as a matter of fact i'm a beginner. But the "ouch" was these frets on these guitars. My kids have a few that I purchased as well. sub $500 guitars and all of them have sharp frets. So this tool did a great job in filing them down. Go slow. contour your tool a bit so that you can "shape" the fret ends so you aren't giving it a bevel but a nice rounded cap - if that makes sense. The tool itself is made very well. I am a stickler for high quality tools (Whia, Wera, Milwaukee, Vessel, etc.,) and this Music Nomal dressing file is wonderful. I would only like to see a contact in color on the non cutting edge. This way you don't make the rookie mistake as I did by going too fast and not focusing on what it was that I was doing. I rotated the file a few times by mistake and thus dug a slight bit into my fretboard - Granted it was a cheap Jackson Dinky guitar; the point is that you need to go slow. Being visually impaired I decided to alleviate that future mistake by using a black (or blue) Sharpie marker on the smooth ends of the file (not the diamond coated cutting edges). That way when I see the black (or blue or red, etc.) that the color is showing - go. The color won't cut. Yes there is an arrow on the handle, but that's harder to see then the cutting/shiny surfaces- Anyway a great tool. I don't think i'll use it more then once; unless I buy another guitar that wasn't built well. Oh and be sure to cover your pickups - they are magnetic and guess what else is? The filings from the frets....

I purchased this for a few guitars that I have with sharp-ish frets. I am not a great player; as a matter of fact i'm a beginner. But the "ouch" was these frets on these guitars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Filed Stainless Steel Frets well !!!

It filed down my Stainless Steel frets that were sticking out the sides of my guitar !!! Worked great, and I'll use it on another guitar soon !!! Like the handle and shape. Easy to work with. First time doing it though, so I'm no pro, but it worked well and did the job !!! 5 Stars !!!
