They look stunning and the flame effect is realistic. More a burgundy than a bright red especially when not lit. The string lights can be turned off. Need two AA batteries each. Very good value for a set of five. The remote works at a good distance but it does turn my DVD player on when pointed that way. I love them so much I can't stop looking at them. They make the room look really cosy.

These candles are beautiful and even more so when they come on of an evening. I am so pleased with them and unlike other candles that I have they only take one battery.

They don’t flicker like some brands, it’s more of a glow.

Okay so I ordered the black version of these candles they are nothing like the others listed they are plastic and extremely light in weight they do work and look ok not great but okay but bit disappointing they didn’t come like the other colours which are in cases that surround the candles maybe my mistake but was a little misleading the video advert for the candles as the black ones you would think would be the same but they are not but for the price for 9 I guess isn’t too bad just be aware the black ones are nothing like the others just check before you buy if it’s the black you want I’d still recommend the product but I did think they were going to be like what they are in the video but I guess can’t really complain let’s just hope they do run 300 hours on one battery fingers crossed but if you like goth decor these are a good option for a little ambiance my only other gripe is the flame is more white than a warm but not too bright glow but again they will still do the job just don’t look as realistic but for 9 candles you can’t go wrong really again but bare in mind these black ones are plastic all over but still say worth it for the price updated review I also purchased the red ones they are stunning no glass so no worry with kids , battery seems to last ages I just hope they last a long time one unfortunately failed already please make the black ones in this type of case I’d buy loads don’t get me wrong the black ones are good but the ones in cases are much better gives off a beautiful glow plus saves a fortune on electricity! So yes definitely would recommend them even the black ones please do more colours like dark purple black orange and I’ll buy them all already got one of each colour other than the white as that’s not to my personal taste but you can’t go wrong with these 👍🏼/ update weeks later the candles have now have 2 stopped working the button just failed these I’ve used them 3 times and already fail ! / update on buying the Gold ones yes they work well but they don’t look gold at all as shows in the photo looks like a moral amber candle i was hoping for them to look more like the photo it’s a shame but as they use such little power then they are still worth keeping I just hope they make red again and purple orange etc I think these would fly off the shelves the red ones did just a shame I had faulty ones no red left please do more in more colours they are decent at bottom line I think I just got unlucky with a couple of them

I have been looking at remote candles for a while,I think these are great value for how many you get 9 ,most sets are set of 3 at around £16/18 these at a Black Friday price for just under £30 brilliant,and the added bonus is each candle only uses one battery where most take 2/3 batteries,the only hard thing was what colour to go for so I went for the grey arrived packaged safe and well so thank seller 👍

Grand climb down…. Re my earlier review… Amazon came good! Within 24 hours they made adjustments that allowed for a replacement. To be fair, they are a great product for the price, lightweight due to acrylic casing, and very pretty. No need to avoid… 😬

I’ve brought a set and had confidence that they will work perfectly fine however 3 of them don’t work of 9 and 1 has the wick missing which is so annoying so do get them but check at once that they all even work otherwise fantastic and mine came with 1 remote only?!

The media could not be loaded.  It’s so light weight as it’s acrylic not glass. But it looks glass. Great for events or decor with no worries of safety. I got it as a gift but had to check if they were all working. Fell in love.The packaging is really good as well.
