This is a beautiful reproduction. It feels old. All that's missing is a musty smell. They went through a lot of trouble and work to make it look and feel as distressed and old as it does. It is on old feeling paper. The printing is fantastic. the paper is woven and the printing is incredible. There are no tiny dots or other giveaways that this came from a printer. The main clue that this was not inked is that the ink is all a similar black which would not happen if letters were written by a brush. This is an amazing work of art and a fun piece of history. I am no scholar of Chinese history but I would be curious to know which version this scroll copied, mostly so I can sound like more of a scholar than I am. I'm also genuinely curious. This is a beautiful thing to have in your home or library assuming you can find a way to do something justice that is these dimensions.

This handscroll replica is very nice. It's very well made and the materials look great. I got this for my nephew and he loves it. We hung this up in their restaurant.
