Huge pack so will keep us going for a while. Downside is that they're quite gritty and some of them are a little tough so even after steeping in hot water a few remain hard and some have a gritty feel in your teeth. The flavour is good but I probably would look for a different brand next time. Sorry guys.

Loved the mushrooms. I found I needed to soak for a bit longer than my usual small packet brand, and also worth chopping them before adding to recipes, as the darker ones in particular I thought worked better when I did that. But I was fed up of running out of small packet dried mushrooms and these ones are good value.

Hi,These mushrooms are the worst I have ever come across. They do not absorb water well and do not get soft enough to chew. I put them in water for 4 hours the first time, the second time 12 hours, and the third time for a day and half.NO change in result.The way they are not chewable even after so many hours in water and then cooking, indicates to me that they are very very old. I have dried Shiitake that I bought from 7 years ago in Vietnam, they are still absorbing water perfectly.These mushrooms seem to be from the last century. Very old and really awful. The absolute worst mushrooms I have ever bought (and have been vegetarian for 21 years now, I have bought a lot of dried mushrooms).If you want to enjoy a delicious dish with mushrooms, stay away from these as there are sure to disappoint you.

I have recently started cooking a lot of vegetarian food and use re-hydrated mushrooms to add a meaty flavour and texture to my dishes. I could only find small bags of them in supermarkets and they are quite expensive, so I ordered these. I'm very pleased with them, it's a big tub so they should last me ages and the label is nice so it looks good on my dried ingredients shelf. I will definitely be ordering them again.

Really love these mushrooms. They add a great depth of flavour to stews and sauces.

the product looks alright, but is still bad. The mushrooms stay very tough and woody even after a long soaking and cooking. Not happy, will not buy them again. Will not recommend to anyone.
