Just what was expected, fit well and works.

My light had what appeared to be a crack in the lens how I decided to replace it. Bought a new lens and these gaskets. When I removed the 25 year old lens it was actually broken into two pieces, however, the light was working and no water had leaked in. So I replaced the lens and the gasket. After reinstalling I could see about an inch of water in the assembly after about 24 hours. I carefully removed again and disassembled and dried everything in Phoenixs 115 degree sun. I tested everything and reassembled this time trying some plumbers putty around the edge to help with the seal. I reinstalled and after about 4 hours I could see water accumulating inside again. I removed it again and dried and tested again. I went on You Tube and watched about 10 videos of the process and no one had any problems with leakage or tips about how to stop leaks. I tried the second gasket. It leaked again, even though I used clamps to force the gasket to seat squarely. They both seem to be slightly too large for a tight fit around the lens. I guess I now need to go to the pool supply store and see if there is a slightly smaller one.

I had a leak in one of my light sockets and replace them with LEDs and so needed to replace the gaskets. You should always replace the gaskets when replacing the light no matter what. These seem to work great and if you’re willing to do the work it’ll save you some money over buying them at the pool store.

These look like the original but are too big by about 1/8” or so but enough that there was no way we could squeeze it into the housing. Ended up going to a pool supply store - bough what looks identical but fits perfectly! Disappointing. Am returning
