Great Bike But Had To Return
Reading the 1 star reviews I don't agree with any of them. The battery lasts fairly long and can last longer if you don't always have it on full blast! The bike has fast pick up and it goes around 18 miles an hour, not 11. The folding is very easy and I guess it's heavy but it's also a solid bike with a frame that's literally a handle so I felt moving it around and folding it was very easy. Meaning, this bike was designed with commuting in mind and is very effective. I had a folding bike before and this one is easier. I love the headlight and it's a comfortable ride. The bike is useable without power BUT the small wheels limit the amount of joy in riding it without power. The gears help a little but small wheels are small wheels. No matter how many gears you stick on it, you'll only go so far per rotation so it only goes so fast. I felt the ride on full throttle was comparable to an e-scooter. Oh and it will get you up a very steep hill. You can also use the peddling to compensate if the hill is super steep. I rode it up the side of a mountain road. WHY did I return it and only give it four stars? Brakes squeak like crazy. Support told me ways to adjust but I don't want a new bike that I had to fix. If the next one squeaks I like the bike enough that I'll keep it and work through the squeak but that was a real bummer. Other than that I really like it. Another bonus is that the battery and light are built into the frame so nobody can really steal anything off you. Again, they thought of a lot to make this a great commuter bike.Update--got a new bike and the brakes do not squeak! So I was sent a bad bike.Update 2--two years later. Added a bike rack for a saddle bag and also a post for a trailer/and a bike trailer. Both of them work well with the bike. The bike was getting flats more than normal so my bike guy put in that no flat foam (green) and I haven't had flat in over a year of daily use. Brakes will go every five months. This might have to do with the fact that I am always driving this on high speed and the brakes have to slow it down. Other than that I still think it's a great bike. I would like maybe a bike with bigger wheels but then it defeats the purpose of the small size. On that note I did buy a bag to put the bike in when it's folded, which is great for ubers and buses if anyone gives you any crap just say it's an English horn. And finally, I did have a battery issue which was making the bike jolt. Customer service walked me through what might be wrong. I bought a replacement battery and the problem went away. Customer service isn't bad. They guy on the phone just doesn't come off as chatty but he knows what you're talking about and will help you out. If you do need to send it back they will pay for delivery shipping after they fix it (post warranty) but not to send it to them. It's actually cheaper to ship to them then take it to a local place because many places don't have the parts for this bike. That being said, Swagtron does have parts issue if you have an older version of the bike. They released different types of these bikes but they look the same and are called the same model.

So Much Fun
This bike is more fun than functional, in my opinion. I love zipping up and down my street, or riding to the corner store for some cold ones instead of getting in the truck. As a daily commuter, I wouldn't buy it. The tires are very small, making it handle like a kick scooter with some pedals and a seat. The horn is not robust enough for traffic, it sounds like a power wheels toy horn or something you'd zip tie to your bicycle. It's funny as heck, riding by someone walking their dog and giving them a "meep meep" like some kinda ridiculous impersonation of Road Runner. The headlight is pretty nice. It's bright and sleek looking. There's an abundance of reflectors on the bike, but make sure they're all secured. One flew off while my kid was whipping around. Overall, this thing is a whopping riot of fun, I'll never regret the purchase. If, however, I were doing more than a mile to work daily, I'd rather have a regular adult size bicycle. Torque is great, as with any electrical motor. I'm 205 lbs and my neighbor is about 250 plus, it takes off effortlessly. Up small grades, it doesn't flinch. Speed setting 1 tops out at about 12 mph, setting 3 got me up to 18.5 mph. We messed around for an hour or so, taking turns and playing with the different features, and only lost a quarter of battery life. The paint job looks great, assembly was a breeze, it's lightweight and easy to store and transport. Fold it in half and throw it in the trunk in case of a breakdown, or just have a blast on your neighborhood block. I love it. Nuff said. On a sidenote, I'm saving all the packaging for a while in case of any issues. Other reviewers state that with any problems, even a flat tire, they want you to ship the entire product back in its original box. Happy Swagging!

Nice bike
The bike rides good and and is easy to use. The charger has a short in the cord where it plugs into the bike I have to adjust it to get it to work. I'm worried that it might stop working completely.

Fun EBike
Unboxing was easy to do, Everything mechanical seemed to work properly. I removed the battery to charge it while I completed the assebly and set up. Thw charge light was green and stayed green when I plugged in the battery indicating what I thought was a full battery. When I finished assembly and inserted the battery the bike wouldn't turn on, DOA. I finally plugged in the charger to the on-board charging port and the light turned red indicating that is was now charging. Four hours later the battery was charged and the bike works well. I have a concern because Swagtron hasn't had replacement or second batteries for sale for over a year. I did a little experiment and took the battery out then plugged the charger in the on-board charging port. The bike booted up fine and indicated a full charge even though the was no battery installed. Then I plugged in a battery from a different bike to the same port and it worked. So my conclusion is that I can plug in an external battery in the future but really they could do better.
