I'm not sure what size that showed up, I even had them replace it thinking there was a mix up. Both of them were too small for my Gaggia Classic Pro, and did not have 2 ears as expected.

It's hard to review this for me - on one hand, it looks great and sturdy and I think it's put together well. However, the portafilter did not fit our 58mm espresso machine. We have one other that fits perfectly, but this one is actually smaller so we have been unable to use it.

Since I received this as a review Ido not like to have to do this, but 1 star. I have received a product I can not test because it came in a box with a 58mm bottomless portafilter and I have received a 3 prong 54mm. I have 2 machines both which take a 58mm and not a 3 print 54.The handle is nice, feels solid, nice thickness to it. The product itself feels of quality, I would state the compression mechanism for the basket is super tight and seeing it compared to my other portafilter does raise some concerns with how loose will it get over time. Basket itself isn't the best quality I would look at getting supplemental baskets to support your shots.

I wanted a new portafilter for my new espresso machine. My machine didn't come with a bottomless portafilter and so I got to exploring. Manual stated that I was able to get an E61 compatible portafilter for my machine. After looking at a few products I came across this one. Description was very promising and so I bought. Coming out of the package I noticed immediately it was not going to work. My machine only has capability of two prong entrance were as the portafilter had 3 prongs. Maybe it might work I thought but sadly it was a complete fail. Another issue was size of diameter, way too small. Maybe I was too excited and read the description wrong which is more likely then not. Anyways the only review I can make is that is really does look well made. Very solid portafilter not mad at the product.

This is -NOT- a two ear bottomless portafilter, it is a 3 ear. Which means it will not fit in a two ear system and is utterly useless to me. Be aware that this listing AND the product box are mislabeled and what you get is something you cannot use unless you happen to have a 3 ear machine. This is a shame because the wood is really well done on this. The rest of the materials feel really good but the mere fact it's mislabeled makes it unusable.
