It works!! I can watch my Hi8 videos!!
Just what I needed to view our home movies. We have an old Sony Hi8 camcorder. This cable works great to connect the camcorder to our TV. Samsung smart tv...for the record. I really need to know how (for a non techie) to convert these movies from Hi8 to DVD....does anyone know??

This was hard to locate anywhere else. But it works and I would recommend it to anyone that needs one.

Doesn't work on sony dcr trv140
I am guessing that Sony puts some magic in their cables (they are like Apple that way) so I was unable to get this to work on a PC or a TV with an older sony dcr trv140 camcorder.
