Smiffys Deluxe Victorian Suffragette Costume, Grey & Pink with Dress, Sash & Hat, Historical Fancy Dress, Adult Dress Up Costumes

I bought this for my 10 year old for her upcoming world book day (xs) and it was still far too big on the waist and fitted oddly. Would recommend to sew it if to small. Came quite quick, but was delayed.

Came quickly, but the sizing of the top is very small. I am a 36D, size said 16-18, but it didn't come close to doing up. Only velcro'ed together, so no give possible. The skirt is sized well and at 5'2" it wasn't too long. The hat is quite poor, the stitching of the rim to the dome on the underside is very visible and even with the hat on a slant didn't hide it. The under blouse is just a velcro bib, which I wore under a pink v neck jumper and with a dark blue suit jacket it worked together with the skirt, sash and some lace up boots. Needed for a Victorian Day at school, I didn't have time to get anything else, so didn't return it. I would have in normal circumstances as £30+.

A winner for a one off event or fancy dress. Far easier than making oneself or traipsing round fancy dress shops to find one. It’s basic and doesn’t purport to be high quality. The hat is clever in that it folds up however will probably fall apart after a couple of wearing as not well made. That said I. Happy with the outfit and would definitely recommend

It's ok...from a distance it works well but up close the fabric does look very cheap. It says not to iron it, but I had to as it came out of the packaging very very crinkled and I couldn't have worn it. Sizing came up slightly on the larger size and the neck was gaping. But overall did the job for a suffragette get together.

Size is great. Plenty of room to feel comfortable in for an entire world book day. Only downside is how creased it comes out of the packet and the material is not easy to iron.

Some items too big,some too small. The insert 'blouse' needed to have extra velco to keep in place.Overall a good item as described.Was used for our WI Celebration of Women getting the vote.

Pleasing costume but always a little hard to get past the overwhelming 'newness' of period dress! Relative value for money and now housed on a mannequin in a local library to celebrate this commemorative year.
