Spigen Tough Armor Case Compatible with Google Pixel 8 - Metal Slate

Since I bought the Google Pixel 2 way back when, I have only used Spigen cases. They are fantastically tough, fit well, give the phone a nicer feel and weight in hand as well. The kick-stand is also a great addition. I always recommend them when a friend or colleague gets a new phone, and I will continue to use them myself.

Great sturdy and tough case with the bonus stand for watching films/ series. Dropped the phone a few times, and so far (touch wood) the case has managed the impact perfectly.

Ordered Spigen Tough Armor Case Compatible with Google Pixel 8 - Metal SlateCase is tough, which extra padding. Slim around the sides and adds little extra width and height to the phone. Slip that stands proud of screen is good.Case is quite thick, making the phone depth larger. This is ok though as it means the phone sit flat, given the cameras stick out of the main body.

Spigen quality, really strong and protects the phone well. It looks good too, unfortunately holding the pixel 8 with this case it's not so easy, it's very slippery. Returned because phone slides off your hands and because the beauty of the pixel 8 is its compact dimensions.

I always buy spigen, I am only buying a new one because I changed my phone and the new phone is a different size.Even though you can get a case that claims to be rugged much less expensively, they just aren't the same, and here are some reasons why I think spigen is best;1:I once bought a less expensive cover, claiming rugged ATC, dropped the phone, as I often do, and the case cracked!Never had this issue with a spigen, and I drop my phone a lot ( I am disabled and sometimes my hand just forgets it is holding something and drops whatever it was, tea, papers, phone)2:A spigen fits your phone exactly, every port, every lense, every nook and cranny, and once it is on, it is on!, it is not loose , it will not come off in your bag, you will not find dust or crumbs inside it either, exact fit.3:They have engineered the case, not just CAD a case and print, but actually designed every point on th case based on usage and what happens when you drop it, you can see this in the ever so slightly raised area at the front, doesn't get in the way of you using the phone, wouldn't even notice it is there, until you drop your phone face down onto a stone floor...not a scratch on it, because Spigen thought about that.There is a cushioning design inside the case( looks yellow, you can't see it from the outside), I am not sure but I suppose it absorbs shock, when your phone hits the floor, and stops any components in your phone from snapping or coming loose, and every corner is designed like body armour, impact resistant and absorbing shock so that shock doesn't travel through your phone but also i think it stops your phone bouncing, when it hits the floor, it stops, quickly, so you don't get the " dropped it on the corner, phew, oh no it bounced, land d on the screen" scenario.4:LensesNow this is the bit that baffles me ( phone manufacturers ,not Spigen), the phone manufacturers go on and on about the cameras and the lenses in the blurb for new phones, and yet.....the phone manufacturers stick the oh so expensive and oh so fragile and wouldn't work if it got the slightest scratch lenses ...on the outside of the phone !!!!Madness.However Spigen have seen that issue, tested that issue and found a solution that doesn't block your lens, but protects it like no other...They have built a protection zone around the lenses( don't forget, unlike some other phone cases out there, the spigen fits exactly, no gaps, ) it makes no difference, none at all to the usage or performance of the lenses, it's as though it wasn't there, and yet...if it falls on the floor backwards, the lenses will not get damaged, I mean I can't see how they could, unless they land directly on something small and pointy,( I have snapped a few pictures including a video since fitting my new spigen tough armour case, no issues at all, as always with a reliable spigen)I mention all of this waffle because there is bound to be someone out there like me thinking, " I just spent €1000 on my phone, I need to protect it, but why is spigen more expensive than some claiming to be rugged and yet so unassuming looking, what is the difference"That takes me to my final point, the spigen is unassuming looking, it's not neon orange, there are no crystals, and it doesn't look like Arnold Schwarzenegger, not big, bulky looking, and yet.... It is so very very strong.I hope this is useful for anyone trying to choose a tough phone case.

Not one to drop my phone alot, but when I do, it's always completely safe. It feels very sturdy and comfortable to hold. The little stand comes in handy too. No complaints.

Excellent case

I'm very picky with my phone cases. This one seems nice. I'll try to keep this review short and sweet despite my desire to write a novel about it.Durability - Case passes basic drop tests with ease. Seems the same or slightly better than the average level of protections from cases at this price range. I haven't cracked a phone in over 10 years, so this one showing more promise than my last 3 is a good sign for longevity.Feel - The buttons have a very nice tactile distinct feeling that is satisfying to use. The case is not too bulky (which is a great perk since the pixel 8 is already a bulky mess of a phone) and feels great in your hand. Not too slippery.Case construction - Case fits well. Installs on the phone with no issue. The kickstand is something that I'm typically very opinionated about, but I think that this one shows a surprising amount of promise. The stand has impressive construction with a fully enclosed grip on it's support stud, instead of the cheap industry standard of a c-clip which will fall off after roughly 100 rotations. I was also pleased to see a snug fit on that clip, leading to very minimal side-to-side movement. The orientation of the kickstand offers two positions which are: landscape mode at about a 45° angle off of the table. Good if your putting your phone on the bathroom vanity while standing above it but don't want your phone flat on its back. The other position is very nice, allowing landscape mode at about an 85° angle (almost straight up) which is awesome if you're laying down and watching something while level with your phone. Great for putting your phone on your nightstand for a clock screensaver.Cosmetics - the case is sleek and handsome. Colors are subtle and honest to the listing. Really nice looking case with well designed cosmetics for a clean minimalist look.My criticisms of this case:- the kickstand does not allow you to prop your phone up in portrait mode. This is something I will miss from my last case.- the kickstand looks like the grip to hold it closed may fail after some time. The insert that holds it in place is small and made of plastic. I wouldn't be surprised if it widdles down over time and the stands will fall open by mistake. I've had the case for a day and have noticed the stand getting easier to open already. This is speculative though. I detailed this in pictures.

Tiene una calidad insuperable en la experiencia de usuario, en la zona de botonera, en el agarre del dispositivo en mano, la seguridad con cualquier caída.La funda se mimetiza de tal forma con el dispositivo que cuando ves otro pixel 8 con otra funda te cuesta reconocerlo.Lo que menos me gusta la patilla de la parte de atrás se la podían haber ahorrado, aumenta el peso del móvil y que tiene pocos colores para elegir.La compré porque me gusta la marca Spigen.
