Do I have to use the remote to adjust the light?

You can adjust both brightness and color (cool/daylight/warm) using the remote or by tapping the bulb. Unlike many lights that only cycle color, MagicGlow lets you dim brightness to match your mood and setting. One remote can control multiple bulbs.

Does it fit in regular lamp sockets? Does it remember the last brightness setting?

Absolutely. The A19 base fits most E26 fixtures—bedside table lamps, and wall sconces. It has a memory mode feature that remembers the last brightness and color setting you used. You won't need to adjust the brightness or color temperature each time
