Q: Why are the logos different on my previous and new Classic Convertable?

Great question! We have updated the logos to be more consistent with our new products. You may notice that your recent purchase has a different logo from your previous Classic. The LED light has also changed from green to blue.

Q: Can you use this to curl your hair - does it work well?

Yes. My stylist uses this flat iron to curl my hair and it works amazingly well. I can mostly recreate the look at home, too, with the same iron. I think if you search youtube for "curl hair with flat iron" you'll find lots of tutorials that will show you how to get that look. I use Bumble and Bumble products that I buy from my stylist, and I never once in eight years have needed to clean the ceramic plates on my flat iron. The cord just shorted out on my old one and I am absolutely buying the same flat iron again.

Q: African american hair

I am a white middle age male with wavy blond hair and I think it would work great if I had to flat iron my hair. I agree about the diversity in the models used for advertising. There all just women.

Q: How many different heat settings does it have and how hot does it get?

It goes from 170° F to 400° F. It gets hot immediately and the led light flashes red when its ready(in a matter of seconds) if you drop the temperature down in the dial, the led light will flash green because its cooling off. Then it will turn red again at that setting. I always use It on the 260° because Its better for the hair but you will take alot longer to do your hair. The dial makes It very customizable for yiur hair. Hope I answered your questions :)
